i think

on thursday I will be wishing there were still students in manchester. way to schedule a gig for the end of term.

ho hum.

i thought

term had just finished? they'll all be home detoxing and not feeling obliged to be well dressed.

term has just finished

it's dead round here.

This will be great

and not just because PWL just sent me a note asking me to say so!

I would have said so anyway :P

are you playing

with martin?

Nah

taking a break this time.

yeah

he can learn to play his own guitar.

I think

he would look better with a lute...

oh cocking hell

this looks awesome. but i'm going to belgium on friday so there's no chance of me being able to get to manchester and back before i have to leave :'(

yeah

does anyone know a decent bassist?

:S

Oh tempting. i am back in manchester tomorrow, but i think i need to show some enthusiasm for my family since i'm only back about twi days.

:(

i need to see PWL again! and the rest are all REALLY GOOD!!!

bring the family along!

tell them you're taking them for a mystery night out. families love that shit.

steady on

he's from radcliffe not llandudno

maybe

I'm broke though. How much is it?

erm...

£5 maybe £4? can't remember. definitely not more than that though.

worth it for Modernaire alone.

man!

my quest to pre-emptively conspire to miss every pwl gig ever continues as i'm going to http://www.drownedinsound.com/articles/1770911

darn. still, that's an incentive for everyone else to go, i hope. it DOES look very good. :(

That looks great.

I would give both kidneys and a limb of your choice to be there.
ALAS!

would you give

your 'middle leg'?

Thats nothing

I actually did sell my grandmother to the slave trade so I could make it,
its THAT good.

(Lu can I stop now?)

why stop now?

think of martin and his little face.

ps - what the hell does 'alkaline maisonette' mean?

i guess

it's a secret

He told me once

its a play on Acid House.

Martin is strange.

ah

that makes sense now.

modernaire are well lovely

it sort of shouldnt work but totally does

shouldn't work?

sophisticatedly swoonsome young lady singing smart catchy lyrics over uberfunky electro backing? that's a no brainer to mel.

*

mel = notably discerning music connaisseur

no

If you ever use the word "uberfunky" in relation to my music again, I will never speak to you again.

Or I may review your EP as "Billy Bragg for the Broadband generation".

you obviously

have your priorities wrong.

PWL gigs > your life

good work solider

so that's a grand total of two people coming then.

ace!

wow!

this looks great. I wish I didn't live in Leeds!

YEAH

tonight!

this gig will make you wish Leeds didn't exist.

hello

i will be attending this shindig (i was going to anyway, just in case you thought your clever pm and thread combo marketing trick worked damn you!). i will also be bringing some friends so that will be even more people. unfortunately i only have about three :(

bf

anyone else think this thread was about mankinis?

Fanks

cheers to anyone who came along. It was a top night.

As for restlessboy's behaviour backstage, well, I'd rather not say, but there is no WAY they were over 18.

hey

dry bar don't ask for ID and neither do I.

this was ace.

and BABAAB i thought I saw you there but I wasn't sure it was you. good work to all who turned up.

Modernaire = the pwners.
