While one rapper dodges prison, another is facing up to the possibility...
Snoop Dogg has avoided serving time following his arrest for possession of a gun and enough weed to put Kevin Smith's famous doobie-toking duo in everlasting comas (see yesterday's story here). He pleaded no contest to charges in court, and will now undertake 800 hours of community service. He has also been issued with a five-year probationary sentence.
If Snoop breaks the conditions of his probation - which includes ensuring his security staff are not gang members - he will be sent to jail for three years.
Meanwhile, fellow rapper/actor DMX (pictured) is facing arrest for failing to show up to court on April 10. Earl Simmons - that's his real name - was meant to attend court in White Plains, New York, after being stopped for driving with a suspended license, speeding and for dangerous driving.
The rapper's lawyer does not know his client's whereabouts, reports NME.com this morning. With warrants out for his arrest, it seems likely that DMX will add to his one in the clink - also for missing a court appearance - before long.

Frankly
DMX > Snoop
would you rather....
Do the 800 hours comunity service, which would mean probably 7 hours max a day which would take around 115 days or do the time in jail which is 34 days.
yeah
but 'community service' in the case of snoop will probably mean holding some sort of 'rap workshop' for kids which is quite fun innit.
how do they check
if someone is a gang member or not?
Gang Members have a Glock shaped
birthmark on their right thigh.
community 'service'
Does anybody remember Mark Morrison, Leicester's finest? He got one of his mates to do the Community Service for him - having held up a petrol station with a firearm or summat - and got rumbled! What price on Snoop trying a similar scheme?
lol
yea some white 5' 4" guy turns up in a suit
