Who, yes WHO, does the theme song to the popular T.V. (television) comedy programme 'Peep Show'?
y'know the one, it's got that "I'm not sick but I'm not well" line in it innit.
I'm sure i remember it from the late LATE britpop era. My head says it's Symposium but my other, wiser head says I'm a fool for thinking that because I don't know jack about symposium.
I've never seen the programme
but that line sounds like Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger.
Harvey Danger
wow, I thought there'd be about
70 posts saying that by now!
All day I have not understood this post.
^
She knows
Flagpole Sitta
is the title of the track
what? who?
I've never heard of him/them? who are they?
ps. thanks
it was in American Pie
I think that's how I know it.
OMG
THAT IS WHERE I KNOW IT FROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
really? that makes it 15% worse
which does not please me
American Pie is great!
IT'S ABOUT MASTURBATION
oh, and the answer to this question is not "google"
I looked in the internet for this ages ago, and i couldn't find a satisfactory answer.
also, i googled 'peep show theme tune'
and it came right up.
jeez
if google loves you so much why don't you just marry it!
i did.
my name is now sarah fox-google
it's not.
it's........ SHIT. i thought it was eels but it's not. it's........
Harvey Danger?
^ harvey danger
it's flagpole sitta by Harbey Danger
fool
though apparently -
The theme tune for the first series was an original composition by Daniel Pemberton. Since the second series the theme music has been the song "Flagpole Sitta" by the American band Harvey Danger.
American?
so almost literally everything i said in my first post was almost literally wrong? i.e. nowt to do with brit or pop
did the singing in an american accent
not give it away?
doesn't sound that yankee to me
really??!?!
'gad dim yoo'
er, yeah it totally does.
yep
I can see what you meant though. Peep Show this week was outstanding, I was nearly weeping with laughter.
also whilst we're on it
the new series..good one wasn't it?
or am i becoming so cosily homelifed up that I may well soon find amusement in My Family or suchlike~?
no, it was brilliant
very good one.
it was very, very good
WOOS
I hoped my brain hadn't mushed already
it was fabuloso
Everyone seems to love this programme
I might watch an episode one day.
we have it all on our magic TV!
and series 1 and 2 on DVD. You will probably like it, honest.
i watched it on friday night
it was funny. That's my review, I hope you enjoyed it.
If you like it, I'll give it a go
I trust you. Not these other chancers.
i also like it.
you may want to give it a rethink.
OK, I shall
I'm now going nowhere near it.
:)
trust me, bambam
Peep Show is fan-rofl-tastic!
I shouldn't!
It's not bad but it really, really isn't the guffaw-fest that everyone makes it out to be. Imagine someone showing you a card trick; interesting for 13 seconds and then gone from your mind forever
oh shh
i was actually lolling
and I never lol except when I see children fall over or cats lying dead in the road.
It
was about as funny as Harry Enfield earlier in the evening. Not incredibly, in other words.
If it were a paint it would be Antique Cream, and if it were a sandwich it would be plain cheese, no ham or anything. Just utterly average
this may of been answered
but its by a band called LIT,
GOOD ONE!!1!!!1!
It has been answered,
but we prefer it answered correctly...
I've heard that song TWICE today!!!!!
Once when I was watching Peep Show, the second time when I was watching American Pie. I don't know why I was watching American Pie, but I quite enjoyed it.
Are you still quite ill?
Yes :(
Talking of Peep Show...
...I saw Jeremy in Kilburn on Saturday. He looked rough and I imagine he was coming home from Super Hans' house.
Also, I recently found out that Super Hans is not in fact called 'SUPERHANDS', which destroyed a little bit of me for a few days. Superhands is a much better name than Super Hans.
I think, anyway.
"I am
a motherfucker...that's literally what I am"

the plinky plonky theme-tune on the first series was SO much better than the pop-punk riffage we're subjected to now. It honestly fitted so much better, some series of painfully embarrassing events followed by a cheerful little bit of music. The contrast worked perfectly
the new music just gives me pain (especially when i forget they've changed it). Call me a miserable old cynic, but it strikes me as them selling out to 'the man' upon realising they had a marketable asset. Bastards
