first band: synths sound WAAAAAY too cheap, so it comes across like some second rate Depeche Mode affair when going for something more minimal would far better suit the voice.

synths are pretty hideous on the fast song

the drony stuff isn't interesting enough for me to care about it yet; needs more 'texture'.

i like "Piece for wedged...", that could turn out good

the other one is bizarre, and not in the good way. the drum machine is awful; that shouldn't be on anything other than crunk records

the guitar tone sounds a bit thin, and the vocals are a bit bland though.

it's a bit too nice, but i'll give it a 6.5

i'm not sure if the vocals should be brought up in the mix or not... sometimes they're good, sometimes really not.

they know how to make a good dumb rock record, i'd enjoy them live i think
