^what is good is meant more in a

which headphones are good sense than an abstract 'what is it to be good?' or 'what is the nature of a good thing' sense. you can discuss that if you like though.

sinhauser (sp?)

£15 inner-ear ones. Pretty great for the price. Unless you spent about £100 you won't get much better sound quality. And you don't have to worry about dropping the ends in your coffee, which I have done, or losing them

in ear or over ear?

The latter are much more comfortable I reckon but you do look a bit of a bell sometimes

oh, over ear definitely.

theyd be entirely for indoors use.

well Grado's if you can budget about 70quid

if you're looking at cheaper than that then I wouldn't look much further than some of the cheaper Sennheiser's.

Phillips

clip on ones are pretty good and VERY comfortable, they are around 14.99

Sennheiser

do good headphones that won't break the bank. Ugh, I hate the expression "won't break the bank".

Stick to..

Sennheiser for over-ears.

Cheap.

Sennheiser in ears

for £15 are ace. And so are the over-ear ones, they're pretty much perfect. The pair I have was like £25 and they're ace.

Koss!

I've got these: http://www.iheadphones.co.uk/headphones/22252/Koss+KSC75.htm

They're really, really good.

I've had

Koss, and they're very cheap and very decent...but I'd save up for Bose. Bose everything!
