lesser matters is such a gorgeous album; is it worth buying their latest/seeking out their back catalogue?

Hmm, the latest one's okay.

Worth checking out, I guess, but certainly nowhere near as Lesser Matters.

Back catalogue...? I thought Lesser Matters was the debut?

hmmm

this suggest there are at least a couple of EPs before Lesser Matters

...

and you can listen to them!

there's a few eps as well

'pulling our weight', 'where damage isn't already done' and 'this past week' were all released on labrador and probably aren't available over here. or at all now. only one of them was before lesser matters though.

of the EPs

Pulling Our Weight is by far the best one. Definitley worth getting.

I really like Pet Grief

It's not as good as Lesser Matters (few things are), but it's still worth having.

yeh

lesser matters is amazing; nu gaze at its best, but there new stuff isn't so good and it seems they've sold out to most foreign films as being much more of a soundtrack album.

they'v got a new album coming out some time this year, no?

but yeah lesser matters is definitely better than pet grief...

november

apparently

Pet Grief is severly underrated

Sure it's no Lesser Matters, but then I never expected it to be. It's a gorgeous little record than should be accepted on its own terms. Thanks for the info about the new album, looking forward to November.

Love Lesser Matters

Radio Dept are a perfect example of why Sweden is now doing indie better than Britain.

Indeed.

Dunno

Loveninjas aren't that great.

are you joking?

the loveninjas are awesome :D

hmmm

lesser matters is kind of ace, but also kind of so sleepy and slightly dull.

i think i got put off it somewhat by just how ridiculously bad they are live.

if you like swedish bands

i'm obsessed with mixtapes & cellmates.
I'm a big Labdrador fan but Nomethod records is releasing pretty good stuff too.

Also Aerial that reminds me of the early Explosions in the sky aren't bad at all!
