Birmingham is to play host to this years Radio 1 Sound City.

So far the following details have been announced:

Monday 29th October - The Charlatans @ Birmingham Academy
Tuesday 30th October - Starsailor @ Birmingham Academy
Tuesday 30th October - Richie Hawtin @ Custard Factory
Wednesday 31st October - Weezer @ Que Club
Wednesday 31st October - Pulp @ Birmingham Academy
Thursday 1st November - Basement Jaxx @ Birmingham Academy
Thursday 1st November - Hefner @ Custard Factory

Radio 1 Sound City Birmingham

As well as all the bigger bands, dont forget theres loads of other venues such as the Finn and Firkin, Flapper and Firkin, The Old Railway etc which will all be having gigs pretty much every night throughout, Check out the Finn and Firkin on the 28th and the Old Railway on the 30TH Oct to such Bands as The Buggers (Kerrang Single of the Week winner), Eggraid, Sist and loads of others!!! see you there.
