Aren't they frustrating?
There's a couple of people I come across at work who make me tense up as soon as they walk into the room 'cos I know full well they're going to make mundane questions, ask me really annoying questions and request that I help them with tasks that, despite being straightforward in theory, they manage to turn into the most complicated thing on the planet.
However, because they're attempting to be nice, etiquette means you can only be nice back.
After they leave I'll
a) be in a tense, bad mood
b) feel guilty because they've actually been trying to be nice and it's a bit unreasonable for me to be as pissed off as I am with them.
How do other people hope with this kind of person?
hi!
hi!
me? I love everyone! Friends are friends are friends
and every manjack a winner - can't fault anyone - except maybe the designer who makes me look about 47 on the DVD issue of my latest film - oh dear, I'm slightly disappointed but NEVER angry - tee hee!
My God - my grammars bad in that post
I'm now annoying myself
Anyway
*make mundane conversation (paragraph 2)
*cope, not hope (last paragraph)
* grammar's
Damnit.
...
I know this all too well, as a few people here may know already.
There's actually a new guy who's been coming in for the past week or so. I think he's Canadian or something. 2 minutes with the guy is a gruelling ordeal. It's actually like talking to Ned Flanders. And I feel myself becoming more Homer-like in my attitude towards him by the day.
I'd class lots of my friends in this catergory.
Not in an overbearing, "too nice" kinda way...
Just nice. And also annoying.
Saying that, I'm rubbish and too judgemental.
I've got friends like this too
but I find the work colleages much more annoying.
...
As a nice counter-balance however, my boss is quite savage about people behind their back. Which is always humourous.
hi!
though in honesty i don't really think im that annoying in real life
...
THAT'S GREAT, FRIEND!!
I''ve never found you annoying.
I've only met you twice though so it's possible you get more annoying as time goes on...
ask jasmine
she see's me almost every day.
subtext 'stroke my ego please jasmine?'
:)
yeah she's all good unless in a flap.
<3
; )
All nice people are really fucking annoying
No?
Not necessarily.
I think I'm nice but not annoying.
I think what it is that over-eager people tend to be annoying, probably 'cos you can sense the insecurity.
I think you can easily be nice but not annyoing but it's often to do with not over-imposing yourself on people and giving them space/allowing them to relax.
I kill them
and make them into pies.
Find ways to make them realise they are annoying you
But be subtle. You'll destroy them from the inside out.
People who are nice but really fucking annoying are difficult to deal with.
I don't have much restraint and it tends to become clear through impateince, tone of voice, or body language what I really think. It's annoying! It would be so much simpler to blankly express very little with a polite smile.
No it wouldn't - they must learn!
It's not okay to be annoying in a way that forces people to cater for you.
Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy...
I like him just fine.
But he's a mouthbreather
