Popular tabloids the country over have reported that The Libertines may reform at this weekend's Glastonbury Festival. Our tip if you're going: take a rowing boat.
The Daily Mirror, for one, has reported that core Libertines Pete Doherty and Carl Barat - recently inspired following their collaboration on a Beatles covers album - are in negotiations to appear on the festival's acoustic stage at some point of the weekend. Both Babyshambles and Dirty Pretty Things are booked to play Glastonbury, so the necessary pieces of the Libertines puzzle will be on site.
A shady-sounding insider told the red-top: “The lads have been talking about it for months. Although they’ve got their own bands now, neither has had anything like the acclaim The Libertines had. Pete and Carl are still arguing about what they’re going to perform – but whatever they settle on it will be incredible.”
If it happens, let us know how it goes, yeah? We'll be keeping dry indoors, thanks. (Not going to Glasto? Come to this!)

are ALWAYS inventions of the journalist, i.e. they're total bollocks - the same goes for 'onlookers', 'sources', 'close friends' and so on.
The tabloid journalist just writes a story then beefs it up with some made up quotes - trust me, I've done it.

I hate how cool culture is ruining the rep. of bands. The Libs are an amazing band, truly unique. It was about time someone like them came along and look at you all. It's not even about opinion anymore. You can dislike their music but you can not deny that they have reenergised a dwindling british music culture. I dont mean shitty bands like the view or whatever, there are plenty of bands they have inspired that are still to come to fruition.
When will people realise that it is a good thing to accept when bands are good, even if litlle kids can tell aswell. The only 'cool' people are honest people in this world, thats why politicians are uncool. Kay? Kay.
