Given the large glut of bands-in-fields events this year, it’s probably a good time to offer your wallet some relief by informing you of London’s Tin Pan Alley event.
Taking place on Sunday 15th July from 11am – 9pm on Denmark Street (where everyone buys their guitars in town), the best thing going for it is that it’s free – just turn up and rock your socks off. The other good thing going for it is that, unlike last year, The Holloways aren’t playing. Instead you get the likes of Future of the Left, Help She Can’t Swim, Dans le Sac v Scroobius Pip, Tiger Force, We Start Fires, Bolt Action Five and Sunset Cinema Club.
There will, naturally, be more bands tbc.
An additional selling point for your conscience will be that the event is raising awareness for homeless charities. This year, Tin Pan Alley fest has chosen CentrePoint a charity which works to improve the lives of socially excluded homeless young people.
I am going
to this too. So another reason for you to go!
Awesome...
I'm there
I should totes be there!
Grammar Police
"Where everyone buy's their guitars" ?
i am SO there.
if i miss it, i give everyone permission to smack me in the face.
where do they play?
surely not the (there's no bloody room in here) 12 bar?
they turn cut off both ends of the street
the job centre end has a stage facing down the street towards charing cross road
Anyone...
...remember the car that was parked in the middle of this last year?
That is a very good line up.
I may break my moratorium on Sunday gigs for this.
Whoop.
First day in London on placement!
This will be my first port of call.
Excellente!
Shits all over last year's lineup. My brother works in one of them guitar shops as well.
