First time I have been to the Barfly in Camden. It's alright.
aren't I?
But it was a girl one.
I would quite like to have gone
So, SO good. The crowd reaction was superb, and the set itself was near perfection.
They're my new favourite band.
And who can blame you. He was pretty incredible.
That drummer sure has manners.
Of course they are better! They know more than three chords for a start.
Really. They were utterly fantastic. I'm just annoyed that the best t-shirt was a stupid ladyshirt, and they didn't have the album on sale. Amateurs.
I really would have gone, but I had to work.
Shame
And the support didn't sound like The Coral.
Menomena.
I wanted to torch their faces.
And fucking great musicians without being actual musos.
before i found out about it :( worth going to the other show next week then? (even though it's at old blue last)
The drummer! Check out the drummer!
So everyone hates this Old Blue place?
they were playing the Old Blue. What day is it?
That is a Monday.
If it's a pay gig, it'll be good. The Old Blue is a good venue.
I got offered two free tickets for last night and turned them down. Momo.

I think.
Get there early because I guess it could sell out.
guess it could.
i've not been to a gig there (it's upstairs right?) only the bar downstairs. reputations and all yeah...
oh tickets: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=225271
as long as it's a paid gig, otherwise you tend to get people chatting.
Seeing the 2 bands newt week !
None of them were wearing shirts. His voice did start to grate with me after a while. They did one song that was awesome though. I've never seen a fiddler rock so hard.
They had a great banjo/ukelele interface at one point, and the fiddle was going great guns.
But they weren't really my taste.
in my taste...
No one told me about this. :(
Is that okay?
i just bought ticket for the 9th - they better be really good i've got high expectations now! :D
They were rubbish really!
they were great last night too! thoroughly enjoyed it though the venue was only about half-full (and unbearably hot)
loved the baritone sax-playing & foot-controlled moog synth, at the same time!
cool.
I'm good at reviewing stuff
aren't I?
They were selling a great t-shirt.
But it was a girl one.
Also I was told to avoid the beer at the Barfly because it is "dirty".
I had cider instead.
Blackthorn.
:(
I prefer Strongbow.
What is that one with ice?
Magners I think.
I don't like it.
It is quite weak for a cider.
And cider shouldn't have ice in it.
They didn't sell it anyway.
I think I might still be a bit drunk.
I'm going to eat a kiwi now.
That was some good eating!
I'll eat some grapes next.
20 of them.
10 green.
10 black.
Are they purple?
Yes.
Oh! Fruit is great isn't it?
Just because no one else is replying
I would quite like to have gone
They were fucking incredible

The drummer was amazing wasn't he?
I think you have a slight crush on him
And who can blame you. He was pretty incredible.
He said "excuse me" to me on two occasions.
That drummer sure has manners.
better than Thermals?
I know that is for bamos but...
Of course they are better! They know more than three chords for a start.
Close call
Really. They were utterly fantastic. I'm just annoyed that the best t-shirt was a stupid ladyshirt, and they didn't have the album on sale. Amateurs.
Nah
I really would have gone, but I had to work.

It was sold out.
And the support didn't sound like The Coral.
Two important points for us all to remember
and they didn't have Magners
Doo-doo-de-doo-doo

I wanted to torch their faces.
