Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme is teaming up with Amen's bad-example-to-the-kids Casey Chaos to, in Homme's own words, "scratch the heaviest itch I got". Also involved in the as-yet unnamed project are QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri and Casey's bandmate Shannon Larkin on drums. An album is planned for next year, and will be released through Homme's label, Rekord Records.

Queens of the Stone Age are currently working on their new album. Entitled "Songs for the Deaf", it is due for release in February 2002. Tentative song titles include "Songs for the Deaf", "Songs for the Dead", "Go With The Flow" and "Little Sister".

Amen are also working on a new album. The band will start recording with, you guessed it, Ross Robinson later this month, with the release pencilled in for early next year.
