Re: damien rice reissues

Capatilizing on the latest wave of singer/songwriter (stupid genre name) types perhaps??

Re: damien rice reissues

I like to issue him with a fatwa.

Re: damien rice reissues

Fatwa on yuu, Rice cunt! A plague on all your albums!

Re: damien rice reissues

it is a stupid name for a genre isnt it ... surely most singers write songs, even the ones in ultra extreme scandavian metal bands

Re: damien rice reissues

the suggestion is that it is just th singer songwriter whos making the music. a solo artist, basically.

Re: damien rice reissues

i think he is boring.

abc xx

Re: damien rice reissues

Just out of curiosity whats a fatwa?

To be honest everything ive heard by him sounds so self indulgent, wet and boring if he did bother bringing out anything else i can't imagine him having much more to say

Re: damien rice reissues

from what i gather its an islamic tradition that basically means whoever called it is calling for you to be killed ... is that right ?

Re: damien rice reissues

what pisses me off more than the songs being re-issued is the god awful souless radio remixes they insist on putting out.

Re: damien rice reissues

i dont think i even lived in scotland when it came out... surely anyone who would ever possibly need a damian rice album has it by now.

amusingly, the kasabian single has just charted lower than it managed 12 months ago. couldnt they just run off a few tv ads for such albums and have done with it?

Re: damien rice reissues

whilst unlike most people here I think Kasabian are ok, that was pretty damn funny.

Re: damien rice reissues

He's gossip column material now he's slipping the singer-songwriter pork to the 'lovely' Renee Zellweger. He's still bloody awful though.

Re: damien rice reissues

Seeing him live is a truly bizarre experience. It's like watching David Gray backed by Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Re: damien rice reissues

sounds strangely captivating
