That's fair enough, a lot of subjects seem to get redone on a regular basis, possibly due to the lack of a search feature, but more likely due to the influx of new members.

I'm not sure what sort of Cockney slang 'making the beasts with two backs' means, but but according to my Cockney to English to American dictionary shaggin' means.... Oh!

it may have actually been cockney before shakespeare used it. dunno really. its a fairly simple visual though. were an alien to stumble across some unadventurous missionary loving, they may mistake it for a beast with, like, two backs.

In the BBC comedy: The Fast Show - the sketch with the two shop assisstants (Suits you sir). They also mention the beast with two backs!!

Funnily enough, so does Shakespeare.

I like to add a little comedy to my coppulation, so its Why Can't I Touch It? by The Buzzcocks and Where The Wild Roses Grow by Nick Cave. Yes. I find songs about seducing and murdering women funny.
