who is a regular poster..nah it's really good if you know where to go, there is a special shots bar on the main road place (ah its name will come to me) and we have chilli shots....mmmm...really cheap too...there is also a place whee they do 1 quid shots, forgot its name too.
go to the IKON gallery in Brindleyplace (free, modern art)
go to the Sealife centre (not free, stingrays!)
go and shop in the Bullring
go to Tempest Records on Bull Street
sit in the sunshine amongst the emo kids by the cathedral in St. Phillip's Square
go to the Custard Factory off Digbeth (cool shops and bars and stuff)
wander around the Jewellery Quarter
go to the museum and see the samurai suits
go to Big Wok and eat chinese food until you explode
go to Cannon Hill Park and feed the ducks and visit the Nature Centre
go to the Electric Cinema and watch something good and eat cake
I might be in Birmingham on Saturday, it depends when I can be bothered to come back from Manchester. I will be heading straight for Krispy Kreme. YUMCENTRIC.
you'll be walking past when they're giving away free doughnuts. It's only ever happened to me twice and I think both times were midday, midweek so yeah hang around outside Selfridges all day and you might get lucky...
Is there no one here from Birmingham?
Or just nothing to do in Birmingham?
i may be the closest to brum

As much as I appreciate knowledge of where to get plastered for the cheapest possible price
I was kinda hoping for things to do during the day that do not necessarily involve drinking.
Galleries, parks, nice places to eat, chill out etc?
anywhere around the NIA and NEC is quite good
For what, exactly?
There are the Lickey Hills
http://www.bbc.co.uk/birmingham/360/lh/index.shtml
which is nice park for wandering around. Lots of ducks and that.
West Midlands Safari park
http://www.wmsp.co.uk/cgi-bin/WebObjects/safaripark.woa/wa/default
is near Kidderminster, that's good for a laugh when it isn't too busy
Cheers folks keep em coming

Winner!
I wanna do boring things s1m0n
maybe a paper factory tour or something...there is the cadbury factory!... you can then discuss your Kit Kat outrage with them...
you could do that
but Cadbury's don't make Kit-Kats!
You really are getting your brands in a muddle today
aren't you!?
hybridthread
I think im merging your two threads here..
lolz
just call in for a general chocolate discussion then (brand names excluded)
using your night off then :)
I went to the cadbury factory a couple of weeks ago. It's FUN. They give you a cup of melted chocolate.
Ahh yes
the heaven that is melted chocolate and marshmallows!
But Jelly babies+ melted chocolate = yuck
Yeah
stick with marshmallows, I was quite tempted by the rice crispies though.
Birmingham has a Krispy Kreme! you should go there!
*sigh* all my suggestions are going to be food related
Actual fact
I have never had a Krispy Kreme donut/ doughnut.
Shocking
