yay i won tickets ! chuffed. surprised it hasn't sold out, can't wait to see Vetiver, Caribou, Gruff Rhys, Four Tet and Battles possibly (clashes permitting). any other recommendations ?
not from london, and would liek some help.
i've heard the tube line is down that day or something, how else could i get there from central london.
also, if i were to get a bus into victoria, how far is it from there?
kthnxby
From Victoria you take the Victoria line to Highbury & Islington and then get the 277 bus from St Paul's Rd (across the road from H&I tube) which goes right through the middle of Victoria Park (a big grassy, tree-y thing with, presumably, signs of indie rock on the day in question).
It's a slightly lengthy route, but it is direct, and you will get a nice view of Hackney...
Liars, Battles, Foals, Archie Bronson. Bloody great line up. Just a pity it's the first game of the season. Will be heading down post-irons so should be there about 6. Anyone know times of the bands?
12.15 12.40 Fanfarlo
1.00 1.20 Florence and The Machine
1.50 2.20 Strange Death of Liberal England
2.50 3.20 GoodBooks
3.50 4.20 The Concretes
4.40 5.10 Kid Harpoon
5.30 5.55 Pull Tiger Tail
6.20 6.50 Electrelane
7.20 7.50 Matthew Dear live
8.15 8.45 Late Of The Pier
8.45 9.15 DJ's Filthy Dukes
9.15 9.45 Liars
Feeling pretty hard done by as waited for Rough Trade East to start selling them in order to support them and they said they had loads to sell.
When I went to go and get them they then said that the Field Day people wouldn't let them sell any.
Had been looking forward to this for ages and now kicking myself for not just booking them over t'internet in the first place and the silly idea of supporting a local retailer...
If anyone knows of anywhere left, even if it's a touting c*nt, be great to hear. Phonica have sold out btw as have stargreen.
