i havent seen them for about 4 years! weirdness. i'm hoping they'll be as i remember them... but somehow i doubt they've still got the passion they did on the madonna tour...

^^^
yes they still do, their last shows were cribbed mostly from madonna and source tags with a few from worlds apart and ONE song from the album they were meant to be promoting! Recent setlist (am such a fanboy, sorry) had fake fake eyes from the first album in, very very excited about this show :D
i'm well excited too!
are there any support bands?
they were as good as they've ever been
when I saw them in Brighton in Feb
I forgot all about this, I hope I can still get a London ticket.
come to brighton instead
its where all the cool kids'll be
:(
smaller venue isn't it? damn you
its
540 capacity to london's 850
<cries>
wish I could have seen them at the barfly years ago...! there's a conrad keely solo show knocking around the internet that's worth a listen too, bizarre covers and a new ToD song
Green Grow the Rushes [REM}
Dogs of LA [Liz Phair]
Real Good for Free [Joni Mitchell]
Starman [David Bowie]
Stretch Out and Wait [The Smiths]
will look for link!

enjoy!
much obliged
Just been exposed to Trail...
Like 'em. Are they good live?
when i last saw them
they were possibly the most thrilling live band on the planet.
When I saw ToD
the fans rushed the stage (and so they had to cut the encores short because all the equipment got fucked) and Conrad let some fan bash out the last few chords... fan-freakin-tastic!
i was involved in a stage invasion
the first time i saw them. it was fun.
Good call amyblue
He actually sounds a little like Liz Phair on Dogs of LA. Ha!
no way is the concorde 2 540 capacity?!
Is that an actual figure? I thought it was more like 400!
i did a quick google
and it said that
thats mental!
maybe that's a club night capacity and counts the bar area as well which you can't see the bands from.
week after next, surely?
oops yes
i was confusing them with tegan & sara.
anyone know who's supporting if anyone!?
I asked
they ignored. :(
if f***ing rosa fears fka action plan get the show again I will detroy them wholesale, they are abysmal.
Cunt.
I just listened to Amy Blue's Myspace page.
People in glass houses and all that...
Which Rosa Fears gig did you come to? Or have you never actually seen us?
Why not pop along sometime and 'destroy us wholesale' in person?
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
gladly
:D
i saw them loads of times
during 1999-2002 and havnt seen them since. my friend saw them on their last tour and said they were still brilliant live and he went to the same gigs i did a few years ago so id assume they havnt lossed it. they had better not play anything off so divided though, utter wank of an album.
mmmm
they were fucking great at the rescue rooms in snottingham a few years ago. Worlds apart had its moments, and they make pretty much anything good live...allegedly even the complete bollocks that comprised so divided...That was Conrad's baby though, I always felt Jason and previously Neil Buschs contributions kept him honest. Jason has just gotten lazy beefcake though.
If they are playing stuff as early as richter scale madness and fake fake eyes its gonna be worth a trip.
hmmmm
im still pondering about going to the London show....
I missed the Kevin Allen shows
so it looks like i'll never hear Relative Ways live. Which, y'know, sucks.
I might be missing something here...
...but I'm pretty sure that they still play Relative Ways, or at least I think they played it when I saw them in February...
OH YES
they were fucking mint in february. Utterly mint.
i'm so excited!
theyre playing the small room of the leadmill, which is something silly like 150-200 capacity. i cant wait.
oh,
just seen this topic.
think i'm gonna head down to the islington gig.
been a fan for a good 5 years but never been to see them.
do they play with two drummers?
Well they do, but not with two drumkits...
...like they did in the And The Rest Will Follow performance on Letterman (easily fouind on Youtube).
Jason and the other bloke (the new one) switch around. So Jason drums on the songs he doesn't sing.
:(
i want to go
me too
come to brighton init
clearly.
daniel was gonna come, you could convince him its a good idea and get the train together. go aaaaarn
i forget
i love this band so much.
sheffield tomorrow!
boomin!
Saw them play last night
at Pukkelpop - Belgium, they were absolutely fucking red hot. (Even with a missing keyboard player - illness). Greatest hits set. Two drummers, Jason and the new guy do both drum simultaneously on some tracks. And Conrad trashing a fair chunk of the backline halfway through - just like the old days.
They deserve a much larger fanbase
A great way to end a festival, even if it meant missing Sonic Youth do Daydream Nation
