This is a great album - like a mixture of Kate Bush, Dead Can Dance and Bjork minus all her annoying bits. Dont believe in that Mercury prize shit, but i'd like to see this win in hopes that it might get a wider audience. Go get 'em Natasha!

It's pretty good
but at times its pretty underwhelming and sounds like the idea behind the album which was very good wasn't as fulfilled as perhaps it should have been.
I vehemently disagree with you sir
!
so much better on paper
than it is,um, on record.
Ticks all the right boxes, weird instruments, lyrics about elves and goblins and all that prog stuff
Not really a proper artist to me, more like she listens to good artists and tries to be like them
Yeah
I think you can hear that several of the tracks on the album are attempts to copy other artists... There's a PJ Harvey track, a Meanwhile back in Communist Russia track, etc, etc. Which isn't to say I think she's awful—the album could be the first step towards working out her own style—but I don't think she's there yet by any means.
its got none
of the brilliance of kate or bjork. it's MOR boringness not fit to lick the heels of tori amos let alone kate or bjork.
It's not THAT bad
I really like the first 4 tracks, but yea as I have said and as 50pence has said, it's better on paper then it is in practise.

Nice voice
But too much harpsichord. What it needs is MORE COWBELL!
she needs
to let loose...
