i am about to get a new computer. I want to be able to have my itunes library on my new computer just like i've had on my old.. i.e. all the play counts, stars, playlists etc. Is there any way of doing this? please don't say i have to start afresh :(
If you got to file
and click "export library" it should make a .xml file with all your music.
Then you transfer all the mp3s or whatever and the .xml to your new computer and on itunes click "import" then click on the .xml file.
I think that might work. Dont quote me on that though
Alternatively...
...if you click "Use As Harddrive" on your iTunes when your iPod's plugged in to your old PC, this will allow you to use the iPod as an external harddrive when you plug it into your new one.
The file names are all a load of nonsense, but if you drag them straight into your new computer's iTunes it should sort 'em out for you.
I wish I'd seen this
Before I bought a new laptop last week.
That's the way I
Do it...
if youve got an ipod
download senutti
this will transfer all the tracks on your ipod onto your computer
its real good
