: top venue, top sound, nice long set and all the best bits of gimme fiction and gagagagaga. what a tight little rhythm section. loved it.

started
just after 9.30pm and finished just before 11pm curfew. due to forgetting that the victoria line was shut, and then engineering works on the brighton line, we got home at 02.44. absolutely worth it though.
did they have
a horn section with them for the new ga ga ga stuff??
unfortunately
not (although i doubt there was room on stage at Cargo). most of the new stuff still sounded great but horns would have been ace. imagine them pinching prince's horn section, that would be the biscuit.

What a great gig
felt really intimate and new and old stuff all sounded good. A rather un-gentlemanly chap tried to grab a setlist from under my nose but I saw him off ;o)
i'm off
to the states in a few weeks and seeing them in Austin...really can't wait for it now, hoping they'll have the horns in tow then!
I saw a guy run onstage for the setlist
Gave a running commentary from the other side as he was getting told off by the security guard.

Why isn't this used more? Great little venue and as previously stated a great sound and brilliant gig. No 'Fitted Shirt' or 'Utilitarian' though!

and I couldn't get tickets by the time he found out. Which was.. oh. Monday. Curses!

people dancing. Otherwise great. I think the Borderliine is a great venue, especially for American bands.

Nice version of The Fitted Shirt at the end. Don't remember them playing Jonathon Fisk though? No Sister Jack or Japanese cigarette case either. No complaints here though. They were great!
