When I was out last night the DJ played a cover of Stand By Me (Ben E King) which I thought was NoFX but Youtube and Google seem to attribute the same cover to both NoFX and Pennywise and now I'm confused. Any ideas?

i thought this was gonna be about
the reggae-lite pop hit currently assaulting the radio. The one with the refrain "you make me feel suicidal, SUICIDAL, SUICIDAL.."
Fucking abysmal
^^^
..
Haha no, not that one. The one I'm talking about isn't a bad cover but I'm just confused about who it's by now!
nah thats fucking amazing
just because the chorus repeats "SUICIDAL! SUICIDAL!" like if you played a black sabbath record backwards or something.
Brilliant.
Its great hearing it on edith bowman or something. SUICIDAL SUICIDAL SUICIDAL. Its actually one of the funniest things ive ever heard. Im laughing just thinking about it.
i reckon
at least 5 weeks at number one
yep
and it'll all be due to the "SUICIDAL" bit
i wann hear this
Sean Kingston
One of the best, if not THE best songs I've heard all year
poor you
it is
pennywise if my memory serves me correctly.
It's Pennywise
I used to really like "About Time" when it came out. These days I think they are quite, quite bad.
The trouble with Pennywise.....
is that they just haven't moved on at all.
I remember buying About Time after reading about it in Thrasher when I was 15.
They just haven't changed at all since.
I've seen them about 8 times at various gigs/festivals and it's like watching a band frozen in time.
They're good at what they do, but, unlike their contemporaries in Lagwagon, Strung Out, Millencolin, NoFX, Rancid et al they just show no signs of ever developing.
Yep, its Pennywise
They also do a nice cover of the Beach Boys' I Get Around.
Or is it
Me first and the gimme gimmes?
Hmmm?
it is definitely pennywise
me first may have done a cover, but pennywise have certainly covered it
..
Looks like it was Pennywise then - cheers! I know Me First did Stand By Your Man...did they do Stand By Me too?
according to a friend of mine,
Pennywise do a brilliant cover of 'Hey Ya' but I'm yet to find it. :(
