Alchemy is an album I will always have a soft spot for, purely because when I was 8 years old I thought it was the best thing ever. Same with A-ha's Hunting High and Low and the Pet Shop Boys' Actually.

What albums did you worship as a kid and will always have a liking for?

what's the story, morning glory?

great album. dad used to play it in the car alll the time.

and the monkees

and beach boys too.

I feel old now.

I had Morning Glory when I was 14 and therefore of 'listening age'.

i must've been like 6

or something. :)
how does it feel, old man?

Really freaking old.

It'll happen to you too sunshine, just you wait.

not for 8 years yet.

i've not even reached my sexual prime yet! it's ok, you've got 'experience', or something.

Jesus Jones - Doubt

World Party - Goodbye Jumbo
Proclaimers - Sunshine on Leith.

I actively hated music until I was about 11, so nothing earlier than these, I'm afraid.

Proclaimers - lovely stuff

I had that too. How was Big Brother?

That was the first album I ever had.

I managed to avoid big brother by spending all evening cooking and washing up. I'm such a rebel.

I hear girls moving downstairs. The Russell brand DVD must have finished. UH OH

QUICK

Dive through the window before they give you a makeover.

'twas Alchemy for me as well

cos my dad bought it and i thought it sounded cool, back when i had zero cultural knowledge. The 10 min Sultans Of Swing is brilliant.

Dire Straits

for me n all, brothers in arms though, and the entire Yes back catalogue, oh and Cat Stevens

Ash

1977 <3

bf

my dad's car cassettes were

'love it to death' by Alice Cooper (bizarre that, think someone must have bought it for him...) and 'Hunky Dory' by D Bowie

Still think both those albums are incredible- everyone knows about Hunky Dory, but the Alice Cooper is very under-rated, probably cos of the panto aspect to his stuff

Little Creatures

<3

It's been a tough week family wise, too emotional to dig it out, but I'll give it a spin later.

Easy

Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars - David Bowie
Welcome to my Nightmare - Alice Cooper
The Story of The Clash - The Clash

Will be with me forever more.
I do love a good nap and drifting off to Cooper gives me the best dreams I have ever had.
Which is probably kind of weird now I come to think of it.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication

DREAM OF CALIFORNICATIOOOOOOON

Dandy Warhols

13 Tales From Urban Bohemia

That or Billy Joel
