I went last year...
It was good. Expensive, but good. Can't make this year because of money.
Don't get too excited
TDK is one of the worst organised events I've ever been to.
For some reason I rarely have a good time at
any of those Kings Cross venues.
Having said that two years ago at TDK Grace Jones was immense, and Juliet and Soul 2 Soul, supporting her were also excellent.
It now looks like it's just a big club night as opposed to an actual festival though?
I'm actually going to Get Loaded in the Park this year (free tickets + at least four acts I'd like to see = sucking up the pride and going) and thought it would clash but it looks like i could do both...
I was at that TDK and Grace Jones was AMAZING. I was hiding
up the top of the balcony, looking down through the lattice work and managed to see her whole show quite easily. Seeing her to 'Pull Up To The Bumper' is one of my 'clubbing' career highlights. That woman is certainlly one hell of a diva (and I have never waited two hours to see anyone).
She is incredible.
And it IS a big club night! It's not a 'festival' per se... I had a lot of fun last time - although missed Tiefschwarz's set so hope to catch them this time..
DJ Format was a highlight from last time.
yeah I guess I need to
start thinking of it as an expensive club night and not anything else. It's from when they did it as an all dayer (and all nighter) that I have the whole festival sensibility - secret sundaze in the sun and all that.
still, it's the last year for it there as they are knocking down the whole goods yard very soon so perhaps I should go to mark an occasion...

Looks a bit dump this year.
Lineup isn't really much better than a typical Fabric night.
(am sure you will still have fun though)

They closed al the outdoor stages and tried to pack everyone inside... 3 rooms of music that weren't actually seperated.... £4 for a bottle of beer... and in the main...shit bands
