Finally got round to checking these out today - I heard they sound like Mazzy Star which is a good enough reason for me.
I have 'Ask Me Tomorrow' and it's pretty good.

Is anything else by them worth bothering with?

yep

get hold of 'spoon and rafter' - it's really nice ... no other way to describe it really; lot of glockenspiels and lap steel guitar. also puzzles like you is good for some countryesque indie-pop too.

check out slowdive too! that's half of mojave 3's old band.

Nice!

I'm already into Slowdive and Chapterhouse so I'm acquainted with their history, but Mojave 3 sound completely different which is good.

I'll get 'Spoon and Rafter' - though I gather Rachel Goswell doesn't sing much anymore? Shame.

yeah, apparently she has tinnitus

which is sad as her voice is beautiful. i think mojave 3 derserve a lot more attention to be honest , they certainly know how to pen a nice melody and creat an atmosphere.

I'm listening to Spoon and Rafter now

It's good.

I can see where Seafood got the influence for As The Cry Flows now -

i've never heard seafood

I'm gonna go and check them out!

Yeah

As The Cry Flows is the album to buy. It's really lovely indie/country/folk which is fairly different to the angsty indie rock thing they do on their other albums.

Out Of Tune

Is their best album for me mate, gorgeous hazy summer nights shit.

had a listen to their myspace page

sounds like good stuff. will probably get hold of the album you recommended when i get money again

Puzzles Like You

- The album they released last year is a real grower and rather lovely
