Moths

The most tragic creatures in the world?

They use the moon to navigate, and the angle of it keeps them going in a straight line. Its also always above the horizon.

But since man-made lighting has been around, it confuses them and so the fact its often below them or above them at strange angles makes them fly around in spirals.

I feel awfully sorry for them. We've basically screwed up their entire lives.

So in future, don't you dare ever kill a moth if its in your room. It didn't want to be there, the poor darling. It didn't invade you like a spider. It just followed bad signs and took a wrong turn.

i never kill them

but they are stupid fucks

it's karma

for eating jumpers

Any creature that can't tell the difference between

the moon and the headlights of a Vauxhall Vectra deserves to die.

^^^ HEH!

thanks for your concern

but we can look after ourselves thanks.

But they treat flames in the same way

You'd think they'd have evolved by now.

Right, so when they fliy straight at me

swooping and diving, and making me jump of two storey buildings, I should feel sorry for THEM?

They're even more horrible than spiders. At least they, for the most part, try to avoid you. Moths will go straight for you. And can be at one place, and within seconds appear somewhere far away. Spiders are trackable. I feel ill just writing this.

Aww

Its only because they don't understand!

You must be pale or something, because they're treating you like a road!

The most horrible thing about moths to me is the sound and sight of them fluttering.

Still, from now on, I'll do my best to rescue them.

thanks for telling me this.

really. i already really like moths but this makes me like them a lot more. they're like kindred spirits!

.

(i'm always confused and don't know which direction i should be going and so i just head towards whatever looks the warmest)

That story made me feel bad for the Moths

but I'll still kill them, I'm putting them out of their misery!

surely

by this point, they should of evolved due to the changing environment, no?

moths=worst ever cretures

no sympathy from me, none

spiders

are worse.

depends which spiders.

really really tiny ones don't bother me much, as long as i notice them before they're too close to me.

I don't mind moths,

well, I don't think I do. But if one flies towards me I'll move as fast as I can... last time I headbutted a radiator by accident in an attempt to get away :(

Spiders are much creepier anyway. The way they move... it's just not natural

There was a fucking huge one in my room the other night

naturally, I didnt kill it.
I dont kill spiders either cos they deal with those cretinous flies.

wrighty

this is easily the most touching, beautiful post you've ever made
