I was there last night
Security were the funniest thing ever. Barely anyone in a massive room, plenty of space, but security stopped people from going within three feet of the stage.
I am going too
but i am not showing as much excitement as mognol cos he is sad.
he is also sad wanting to watch the rugby more than going to the gig.
know what you mean
the security were really heavy-handed - kept making sure people didn't stand near the door between the two rooms, and chucked everyone out an hour before closing too...

i can't wait! its been nearly two years since i saw BSP, at the forum...
remember to bring some foliage!
I liked the venue
although the security was indeed very silly.
I can understand them moving people out of the corridor between the two rooms though - it would easily get clogged with folk and make access to the rooms/toilets impossible.
But the sound was good, and most of the bands were excellent.
oh don't get me wrong
thought the venue was ace and had a really good night there on wednesday - malcolm middleton, maps, monkey swallows the universe and fanfarlo all on one bill
they don't have all that
on stage anymore...the sight of a branch in the distance might offend!

I reiterate the sense of woo for BSp and sadness for missing Fra VS Arg

Apologies to Insect Life/ Carrion/ Lights out for Darker Skies/ Remember Me/ ???/ Pelican?/ True Adventures/ Larsen B/ How Will I Ever../ Atom
Personally, of the 4 new songs L.O.F.D.S and Atom are the ones that stand out.
the other new song
according to the BSP board was "Mary", but according to the setlist i have was called "Down on the Ground".
also Rock In A was stuck at the end... obviously
the new songs all sounded really, really good. I thought Atom sounded quite strokes-y but then it decended into Choas (obviously). Not that strokesy is a bad thing.
has the new album leaked? or was someone lying to me?
the key thing is that BSP were leagues above everyone else on the bill.
Can't wait for the new album

True Adventures live, it made me happier than you can imagine
i dont think
they play it much, i saw them play it on the nov 05 Club Sea Power tour (the one where they did two sets every night, the closed the "b-side" set with it)
never saw it coming though
