i don't mean "anyone in the world"

because i'm sure some people have. like chocolate tasters. oh god the thought of chocolate makes me feel ill

Not in this job

but I was violently ill at Ladbrokes once.

please tell the tale

it might make me feel less sick. my boss has investors coming in today and i really need to not throw up all over them.

well

I had been at fabric until 6:30am, then promptly started a 10 hour shift at 10am. By about 3pm, I was feeling rough, and managed to just get to the toilet in time before I exploded with vomit.

Yes

I barely managed to reach the gents in time.

...

No but I've fallen asleep in conversation at work.

No

But I was once still so drunk that I couldn't remember my log-in for about half an hour.

hahahaha

oh god laughing does not help

:D

i woke up one morning so drunk i decided to walk to work, despite the fact it was pissing down with rain. it took me nearly an hour (usual time was half of that) and i was completely soaked by the time i arrived.

stil drunk from the night before,

i fell asleep in somerfield's staff toilets mid-baking. ran back down when i woke up to see singed loaves and the oven alarm going fucking haywire.
how i managed to not get sacked for almost a year at that place, i will never know.

i was on saturday.

royter hatfood can probably understand why.

You missed the "I meat" thread!

I remember Shatner. That's about it.

shatner???

I would've started a thread but i remember about 5% of friday night :(

Me too

My 5% was them playing Shatner's Common People at the end of the night...

Yeah.

After I had some dodgy all-you-can-eat chinese food for lunch.

I still went back there a couple of months later and felt ill again.

Oh, and I was once ill away at work.

After five 18 hour days in a row. I was at a hotel on the last day (and thus, no longer had a room) so they put me in room number 101.

It was the most ill I've ever been and I had to take a week off work after.

Fun times, they were not.

Yep

Once I fell asleep on the toilet cubicle floor after a particularly heavy night on the Hooch.

I was only rumbled because my feet stuck out from under the door.

Yup

Knew i wasn't going to make it to the gents so had to go in my bin. It was about 3 months after starting my first job and i'm still amazed I didn't get fired.

I have

my boss practially threw me out

I was sick in the middle of boots photo lab too when I worked there.

I thought I may be today

but I just needed a poo.

pooing is great

i think i have alcohol sweats

do they exist?

yes

yes they do. They are horrible.

:(

i hate free bars

Don't get me started on free bars

I turned up to a schoolfriends 21st birthday party and it was a free bar. After getting royally fucked on wrey and nephew rum, I kbnocked a table of pints of both the birthdays girls presents and her 81 year old grandmother.

I was swiftly asked to leave. I then went homne and flooded my kitchen.

True story.

:D brilliant!

I can laugh at it now

but at the time I was shunned by so so many people.

When I used to work in Safeway

I had a particulary heavy night out that finished about 9am. In between then and when I started work at 11am, I probably drank about 5 litres of water. I was working in the cigarette/lottery kiosk that had a little tiny cupboard at one end. I spent the first 3 hours nipping into the cupboard between customers to vomit pure water (very, very odd sensation). I eventually begged to be sent home, and walked the 1/2 mile back home, pausing to eject even more water alongside a very busy road.
When I got home my parents tutted and shook their heads, then asked where the car was. I tried to make up some story about not wanting to be sick in the car, but in truth, I'd had no idea I'd even driven to work. They were not too impressed when going to fetch the car, they asked its whereabouts in the car park, and I had no idea.....

LIGHTWEIGHT!

I feel great. Monday night drinking ftw.

i didn't really eat much though

i had some super noodles at 5 and thought it would be funny to put pink food colouring in them. WHY COLIN WHY
i hate free bars
i'm never drinking again
etc

fancy a pint?

further tales

In my old office there was a meeting room behind my desk. It was a ‘soft’ meeting room i.e. was kitted out with sofas. It was for brainstorming and the like (I used to work in PR). If I was feeling particularly rough I’d book myself into the meeting room, close the blinds, lock the door, set my mobile alarm for an hour’s time and have a sneaky kip.

My audacity knows no bounds.

Loads of times

though these days I text in sick for any reason.

I once had to be woken up after I had fallen asleep with head in the toilet (I was promptly sent home)
