THE FOREIGN OFFICE: Quality stadium rock with alternative flavour, heavy riffs, hardcore hooks and emotional vocals. This London quartet will definitely rock Goonite Club. Stupendous headline act. For fans of Muse, Foo Fighters and American Hi-Fi.

UNCLE PEDRO: On their MySpace page, the genres they've chosen to describe themselves are "Alternative / Rock / Indie". And being from London, you might expect them to be just another Libertines copists, or another mainstream indie shit trying to get signed and have their records on Tescos. Luckily, they are far away from it. They remind us why we need and love more than ever US indie-alternative bands like At The Drive-In, Pixies and Fugazi, and why we miss our beloved Mclusky gigging around here. Uncle Pedro is guitar-rock at its best, full stop. They recorded an album and will release themselves very soon. But you can listen to it entirely on their MySpace page, right now. www.myspace.com/unclepedrouk

MAGNA SAGA: Man, listen to those bass lines and you'll see straight off that this is quality stuff. Killer and heavy tunes, loud guitars, hooky melodies. Superb rock'n'roll trio. For fans of Queen of the Stone Age, Wolfmother and Foo Fighters. www.myspace.com/magnasaga

VIRELAY: They're noisy, they're sweet, they're lovely. It seems that we now have a shoegaze revival going on, and Virelay can surely be part of it. Tasty melodies with distorted guitars and dreamy girl vocals. For fans of My Bloody Valentine, Blonde Redhead and Slowdive. www.myspace.com/virelay
