on the weekend one of my "friends" stole my phone and announced to all the females my phone book (including my mum), "I am horny, i want to make sex".
very embarrassing...
Indeed you're not. A friend of mine meant to send a text regarding the (lack of) sexual prowess of her new boyfriend to her sister, but sent it to her boyfriend instead.
Oops.
Drunken texting of your ex is always a good one too!
i've heard that Orange provide a service in which you tell them which numbers you want to block (ie. your exes) and you can't text/call them until 6am the next morning, when hopefully you're unconscious/sobering up! genius! pure genius!
i always take care to make sure it goes to the right person ... yknow, just in case its something not to be repeated... but it doesnt always work.
drunken texting people like your ex or someone you "kinda like" is always interesting/dangerous too.
mobiles are evil, theyre conspiring to down of our society in a hail of relationship ruining texts !
i sent a message to my dad instead of to my friend david and it said, 'you havent texted me in ages you fucking monkey cunt'.
my dad wasn't very impressed.
Sort of similar: I once had an argument with someone. I went online on messenger and they were there as well so i said sorry (because i'm a nice guy, not because i was in the wrong) only to find out she'd left her account on-line and left and i was actually talking to her dad. I then had to explain a whole back story as to what the argument was about. Not a nice experience. Anyway I learnt an important lesson: Never apologise for anything.
Yeah I've done this. I sent an... 'inappropriate' message to my friend Jim instead of my girlfriend once. So embarrassing. Luckily I realized and phoned ahead and told him to delete it then had to listen to him howling with laughter down the phone.
my friend typed the cathcphrase, 'What sweets you got?' into my phone...sent it to my dad's work phone...fucking hilarious for adam...dad just looked at me strangely
hmm i do text people, but my failing is ringing people when Im drunk and asssuring them i love them, as they're sober at the time, I think it freaks them out alittle
But I agree with what was said earlier: Mobile phones are dangerous when taken on a night out

Ha, some good stories here people. Never done it myself (to my knowledge) but I once got a message saying 'I want you to fuck me hard' or something from an unknown number that i assumed was intended for someone else.
Yeah, fair enough. I probably wouldn't have replied either. An aquaintance of mine actually managed to get a date from some girl he didn't know, who accidentally texted his phone declaring her undying love for him! Smooth bastard.
This one guy kept phoning me up going "hello David?" -i explained to him on numerous occasions that he had the wrong number, then he accused me of stealing David's phone! Bloody cheak of some people.
haha!
i've had people phoning me thinking i was someone else. once this guy kept ringing me and asking for 'lisa' and when i told him there was no 'lisa' he refused to believe me and told me that they had spoken that very same day and she had given him her number.
i told him that she probably gave him the wrong number on purpose, then he went, 'oh.' in a very pathetic voice and hung up.
haha that was great.
Yeah, I had some essex landline phoning me up all the time, which ended up in several conversations like this
her: "Hi it's Shell is Stacey there?"
me: "No, you have the wrong number."
her: "So Stacey isn't there then?"
me: "No, you have the wrong number."
her: "Will you tell her I called?"
me: "No, you have the wrong number."
My number once got put next to an advert for a Golf in th Auto Trader, spent weeks telling people that I knew nothing of the vehicle nor whether the owner would take £2,500 for it. My boss has been getting messages left for him by an estate agent telling him that they have received an offer for his house, despite the fact that his is not for sale, and should they go ahead with it? He's obviously got more restraint than I have, cos I'd be ringing them back to tell them I only want £50 and a Curly Wurly......
My workmate got a text from his girlfriend thanking for the "great night" she had with him the previous night. This would've been fine if he'd actually been with her the previous night.

Suddenly this flashback kicks in of me, at Reading Festival, very drunk, telling people I was called Jeremy. Very worrying.
"I didn't go to Reading sorry, wrong number!"
HANG UP! HANG UP!!!!!!!!!!!
