British Sea Power: Some Frankhaus? for FREE

by Samuel Strang

After recently announcing details regarding their Krankenhaus? EP, British Sea Power have offered some of it up for nada.

As an enticing introduction to pastures new, recent racket 'Atom' is available for FREE from BSP's website.

JUST. CLICK. HERE.

Speaking on the ever-reliable Sea Power Newsboost, Yan explains 'Atom''s origins. "It's about when all the protons, neutrons, electrons and morons get torn from atomic equilibrium to fly around and confuse us. It's kind of about how over analysis leads to more questions than answers, whether with relationships or quantum theory. Apparently, humans are the only animals that can ask 'why'. But, personally experience tells us that doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with understanding 'how'. As it says in the song, 'I just don't get it'". Yes, Yan, yes.

Krankenhaus? is released on digital download from October 8 and available in the US from November 20 and the band's merchandise stall on their upcoming tour.

Krankenhaus? runs. As follows:

'Atom' (edit)
'Down On The Ground'
'Straight Down The Line'
'Hearing Aid'
'Pelican'
'Water Tower'
(video)
'The Spirit Of St Louis' (live at The Forum) (video)

Both the full version edit of 'Atom' and 'Down On The Ground' will apparently feature on BSP's as-yet-titled, return-to-raucous, third record, produced by Howard Bilerman (Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion) and out early 2008 on Rough Trade.

yes

YES

Excellent!

Looking forward to it then...

Yes they are

I saw them in Bradford on Saturday and they were grate!

Supported by 14 Corners (who were pretty good) and the Hot Puppies (fit lead singer and pretty good tunes but possibly the worst name for a band I've ever heard!)

Judging by this song

they are indeed still good.....very

:D

this is

very very good.

I saw them a couple of weeks

..ago at the End of the Road festival and it has to be said, I thought they were going through the motions a bit. The whole giant robot, let's take 20 minutes to end the final track thang is getting a bit tedious.

I wish Brighton's finest Tenderfoot would put a new record out and tour instead

Oh... and why

haven't DIS reviewed End of the Road??? It had the best line up of any festival this year (Herman dune, jeff lewis, lambchop, broken family band, BSP, and 2 mighty sets from the Twilight Sad to name but a few)

I think it's on its way

written by Mr Brainlove I believe

the whole of the media

seems to have ignored EOTR despite it being Rather Good. Even though Super Furries were a bit dull. My own fault - should have seen BSP instead, really.

TUNE

live, i thought it sounded a bit like the Strokes (until it's decent into Rock In A - obviously, which isnt like the strokes)

Sounds fine fine fine

Awesome

That's made my week. It rocks. And an air-raid siren. Sounds slightly Arcade-Firey, this is good.

This

is like well good

Loving it.

This is my favourite one from the newies.

Saw them at Yeovil last week and the place was packed, band were brilliant and looked like they were really enjoying themselves.

Can't wait for Krankenhaus?, and then the album in Jan/Feb

I love this band...

but "Atom" has seriously left me cold.
