were brilliant supporting the happy mondays this monday.

I didnt expect much after seeing the song with a poor video on mtv2 but they kind of reminded me of seeing radiohead circa Amnesiac with a pop bent, and their new songs sounded really interesting.

Is the first album any good?

Yeah its ace...

'Dead Scene' is an ace tune.

First album?!

They currently have only one album released...and its ace!

Amnesiac?!

Although they are good I'll give you that.

it's absolutely badass.

although you might want to search out some of the single versions (not losing any sleep, commercial breakdown <1st release of this>) as well as the b-side out of control. sooooooooooooo good.

& dammit, i need to see them again. they blew me away ( & i had only heard one song, & i typically don't like seeing bands i don't know, so to be blown away was exceptional).

Seriously?

From the few songs i heard of them they sound like another throwaway, "colloquial", libertines flashback band.

^ libertines?

i can't see that at all

i didnt pay much attention to be honest

i think they were on one of the DTTR cds a while back or something.

Seriously

they're all kinds of ace.

Thanks people

They were playing quite a lot of new songs, and saying "this is from the album out early next year" meaning I have it in my head that they have two albums(though not correct at present).

I thought they'd be topmantastic "angular" shite too, I was proved very wrong.

Might even by the album (will definitely try to get the new one)

They're alright you know

The record doesn't exciting me that much but they're fun live and the singer's got an amazing voice.

brilliant live

albums good as well.
