Ok so I went for a pub lunch today. Wetherspoons so cheap. £4.25 for a beer, veggie (optional burger) annd beer (or spirit and mixer). How cheap! About ten minutes from the Windmill in Brixton.

Anyway, my point is, I can't see the listings on DIS can you? If you can, or you can't doesn't matter. Is there anything of interest on tomorrow night? I'm getting panning so I can go to sleep comfortable, go to work for 7am and think happy thoughts.

Dirty Water Club

Quite good a friday yah?

what's on?

i now live a 5 minute walk from there :)

I;ve been before on a Friday

You can sneak drink in if you're skint. From what I remember they play a range of stuff from 60s girl groups to punk and stuff. I just remember itbeing a nice venue t mince on bthe dancefloor in.

I'm gonna live really near there by this next week!

Can't wait.

The gig we did at the Dirty Water Club was one of the best we've ever done - it's an ace place to play and the bands tend to be dead good.

Tomorrow, however, I myself plan to go to Nimbucca. The International Trust are playing are the song of theirs I've heard is ace in a joyous geek-pop kind of way. Not sure what other bands are playing but it'll sell alcohol and have music so I can't see it being all bad...

Nimbucca

eh? Come again

I've been stranded in fucking West London for a year

I can't be expected to spell venues correctly!

guessing game?

Nimmbucca
Nambucca
Newgrasser
Nimmpimm
Nimbitdim

what???

Are you talking to me or yourself?

Or both me and yourself?

I like the last one best

but am actually going to the second one on the list tomorrow.

Do you remember

going to your nan's house and there would always be this comfortable silence, apart from the steady tick of a clock? I miss that

Blimey...

How often did you go to my Nan's house?

i <3 this thread

it's like vintage maz.

I only just saw this had a response.

*feels sheepish but stands by what he said.*

^^^ pervo

Within the context

I can't really deny that.

well

i went for nachos and a pint of cider at the Toad. the new bartender (i KNEW i should have just applied to work there even though i really don't have any time to) as he's a total dick. he's english but been living in canada a while and actually scoffed at me when i asked for a pint of cider, and then when he handed me the drinks he told me which one was the cider and which one was the fort garry dark. YA I CAN FUCKING TELL FUCKER. GRRRRRRRR. so the Toad aint' so cool anymore, but i'll go back later anyways as there's a 5 bucks show of some cheesy manitoban poppunk band (they almost always sound the same, haha)
http://www.myspace.com/liquorstorebeautyqueens
but they do have a good name. and a male singer, which surprised me!
i also tried to go through the alley wall in my kitchen with tom tonight to get to London and it didn't work again, but don't worry guys we'll find the way to work the portal. then things will be fucking awesome. ya. cool. fuck ya!

this line makes me happy:

"then things will be fucking awesome"
i can't wait for that day!!!!!

So did you go then ...

To Nambucca that is? and did you see the Trust in action?

I did.

I enjoyed them very much indeed.

we were amazing

well done us

Good stuff..

... International Trust Oi! They never fail to please

They certainly didn't fail to please Friday.

I'm determined to put them on at one of my nights early next year...
