scene wank place soon

I wanna go!

to be fair

Im not sure how much they've done to the inside of the place but it was never a great place to see bands

I can name about 6 venues within a square mile of the place which are much better to watch bands, though hopefully they've sorted it out and it'll bring some attention
to the area n stuff

Well yeah

But still. I'll take what I can get south of the river, to be honest.

Sorted almost!

Was at the Amersham for opening night-Thursday. The newby's have done a fantastic job. It will definitely be the place to go. With a brilliant makeover, trendy atmosphere, good food and a brilliant line up. The only thing they didn't get right was the sound quality. Which is pretty major in a live music venue. The bands on Thursday were great, but the sound was absolutely dreadful...couldn't even hear the vocals during the second band. What's happened there then because the sound was the only good thing about the 'old Amersham' With such a fantastic line up I hope they get it sorted.

I'm moving to New Cross next year

hopefully.

Goldsmiths ftw.

i live in 'up and coming' new cross

the amersham arms used to be such an old timers pub. it will be interesting to see how it does, i hope: well.
though it has perhaps come at the wrong time with the closing of the east london line etcc. i hope it does well.

I moved away from New Cross

The line ups look good though. Will be nice to go to after college.

& there are buses and other trains. People have legs.

WTFFFf?f???

Titch must have died or something.

I cannot fucking believe this.
I spent years playing in this venue and to see in such esteemed company is great news!

Sweet news,

that's just up the road from me.

titch is still doing the Catapult

they actually seem to be quite nice to people
there. they've kept the jazz jam, catapult and ska burlesque.

though how long until they chuck em out I dunno
