Zach Condon's Beirut will perform a free bonfire night gig for you at Rough Trade East on the 5th of November.
The band'll play a half hour set at the Brick Lane shop and will kick off at 7pm.
Entry to the gig is free, but you'll have to be on the guestlist to get in - email instores@roughtrade.com to request a place; or, alternatively, join their mailing list here to be informed of all upcoming instores taking place at Rough Trade.
After this show, Beirut embark on a short series of UK dates, helpfully listed below:
November
6 Manchester Club Academy
7 Glasgow The Arches
8 Leeds Irish Centre
9 Cardiff The Point (Swn festival)
10 London The Roundhouse
i've tried emailing that address
about two instores this week and the mails keep bouncing back!!!
argh! sort it out!

I do press for a band playing there soon and I'm inundated with e-mails from people who want to go asking what's going on with the store. Headacheville.
Re
Can't you just phone them?
Shit me!
Why hadn't I thought of that?
I thought if I whinged about it on enough music forums someone who shopped there would mention it in passing the next time they browsed for Hadouken USB memory sticks and they'd phone *me*
I'm in the wrong job.
I just mean it's annoying when you then have to e-mail X amount of people who want to go saying: "Well, they say this and that, but I can't add you to the list myself, you'll really have to...
Oh you get it.
Bollox
Same night as Sigur Ros at the NFT
thats not technically
a gig though right? It's a live feed from Iceland
eh?
The other gigs
have been a short acoustic set followed by the concert film. That's what is advertised here too:

God I hope not
I thought Sigur Ros were playing live. That's the only reason I've been grinning ever since i secured tickets.
Yes
They are playing live too, 3 songs apparently.
I reckon it's possible to do both, providing Beirut play from 7 to 7.30 as advertised. The ticket says 8.20 start I think, and Liv St to Waterloo takes 12 mins accorting to TFL. Should easily be possible even including a 10-15 min walk at both ends ;-)
