to the best of your knowledge, have never been mentioned on DiS.
Most threads discuss favourite or least favourite albums and I was wondering if there are some good ones that a lot of people might rate 6 or 7 and nobody has ever bothered to mention them.

there's loads of albums i LOVE
which never get mentioned on DiS, and i'm not willing to do it because i know i'll be disappointed with the response (or i wouldn't be able to do them justice)
If we start going into all the 6 or 7 albums people own we'll be here forever
'Are you Normal?' or 'God Fodder' - Neds Atomic Dustbin
Go on, stick them on the hifi/steal them off the net...they're GREAT!
agreed!
^^ Definitely both been mentioned in the last 6 months
Most of my favourite albums have had a mention... by me, gnerally.
^ couldn't have put it better myself
but tonight I'm feeling brave!!
{or slightly drunk}
I'll start with Upsetting Beauty by Sueshe.
Dis search results, came there none.
Dance Hall Crashers - Purr
They don't have a page on here.
Dance Hall Crashers!
I remember seeing them a couple of times at Reading Festival back when they had the Vans Warped Tour rather than Concrete Jungle or whatever they call the punk/ska/hardcore stage now.
and they have been mentioned
on the boards quite a few times.
Yup
Their entire back catalogue is brilliant. And their Live DVD is SO good.
mine are all obscure/shit metal/hardcore albums
Them and 'Gran Turismo' by The Cardigans
"sing the greys"
by frightened rabbit
my friend, she bangs on about this lot all the time
any good?
i'm sure I caught some of their set at Connect.

Evil Dick - Coprophagism.
*wins*
Okay, how about............
'Home Truths From Abroad' - Fretblanket
fretblanket
has been cited at least 6 times according to the DiS search thingie...
Hotdammit.........
they're my default obscure mid 90s band who should have been WAY bigger.
Mystic Chords of Memory
self titled record is a lovely mellow summery offering that breezes from the speakers...
I've just checked their myspace
mellow summery breeze indeed!
Until the wah wah starts at least
It is an awesome album
Much better than the Tyde I reckon. but still not quite as tasty as the Beachwood Sparks stuff he did...
I had hoped we might come up with a band
like Ladysmith Black Mambazo which many would like but hadn't ever been mentioned [which they have].
Oxford Collapse
Remeber the Night Parties
It's alright, with some excellent tracks, but I just can't be arsed to listen to it most of the time...
I own that album
I quite like it. In fact, really like it. Yes.
this town aint big enough for the both of us
Quite a lot of hip-hop
and re-released studio one stuff isn't mentioned that I listen to a lot, and I imagine quite a few other people listen to tooooo.
Foxy Shazam! - The Flamingo Trigger
Give Up The Ghost - Background Music
Wrecked By Lions
By Number One Cup.
Fade Out
by Loop
fade out by loop
excellent stuff. a soundtrack to my uni days.
not as good as heavens end but still alright.
And of course
The World In Our Eyes compilation with the amazing 'Burning World' on it. Great band, truly.
much missed here too
Saw them at Manchester Uni in about 1990. Absolutely awesome. They don't make them like they used to.
Main were pretty
good too. Not the same though. 'Black Sun' still gets the odd spin at Nottingham DiS nights now...
there was a Number One Cup thread
a long time ago...
Good album btw !
yeah
Apple - Sonic Dragolgo
No Commercial Breaks - Scroobius Pip (WITHOUT Dan le Sac)
Black Seeds of Vengeance - Nile
So!id Pop - Hyperbubble
Vintage Slide Collection Vol 1 - Trachtenburg Family Slide Show Players (quite well-known but not mentioned on DiS much)
Simon Mastrantone... and the First Noise
Anything by The Snake The Cross The Crown
These guys are brilliant and despite being on Equal Vision I have never ever seen them get a mention on here. LISTEN TO THEM!

In the Aeroplane Over the sea

How To Survive Chance

ALSO:
Steve Burns - Songs For Dustmites
WARD - Its not necerily your height It could be your feet
Polar Bear - Held on the Tips of Fingers
The Campaign For Real Time - Yes...I mean no
I fear I might have mentioned Polar Bear before
I hate them so much I didn't listen to Panda Bear for ages because I thought it might be the same band.
I love In Bocca Al Lupo
by Murder By Death
but its never mentioned
See also
DJ Muggs - Dust
Monsterland
At one with time (Maxi e.p)
It's got 'Your touch is uncomfortable to me' on it, which is an indie rock masterclass.

oh and
www.myspace.com/pariahcabal
I'll go for
THE BERG SANS NIPPLE
I adore this band and although they have a profile here, never an album review... admittedly, Along the Quai hasn;t been released properly in Europe yet, but still...
Sunlight makes me paranoid
by Elefant.
Really catchy pop songs.
I saw the Berg
supporting DMST earlier this year. Think I started a thread about them then. They were brilliant.
..
Flaming Stars - A Walk on the Wired Side
The Lilac Time - Looking for a Day in the Night
Tacoma Radar - No One Waved Goodbye
Close Lobsters - Foxheads Stake This Land
Moose - Hi Ball me!
Artisoka - A Hiding Place in the Arbor
Trashcan Sinatras - Weightlifting
Deckard !!
or regency buck ... did they ever get a mention on here ??
Is that the same Lilac Time
that backed Stephen Duffy? Because thats a great album and would be interested in their 'solo' stuff.
Also, I love the couple trashcan sinatras tracks I have, what would be the best album to get?
It's the same Lilac Time
but still with Stephen Duffy... they were just going through the phase of dropping the "Stephen Duffy and the".
I'm not going to be able to recommend a Traschcans album to get, since my "favourite" constantly rotates between all four depending on my mood. "Cake" and "I've Seen Everything" are rawer - more jangly guitars and play on word lyrics.
I'm not so keen on the production of "A Happy Pocket" but it still has some cracking songs.
"Weightlighting" is more mature a sound (since by then, they were 15 years older!), but none the worse for it. It will also be the easiest to get hold of.
If you can get hold of "Fez" cheaply, then it might be worth a buy. It's a live album, but will give you a taster of each album.
hands up tiger
by the red light sting
they are real good,
did a split with hot hot heat in 2003 (i think it was?)
this is probably their best record though
cant beat .......
hot hot heat
that rhymed !!!
Jane's Addiction
'Nothing's Shocking' and 'Ritual de lo Habitual' never get mentioned. Shame.
it's true...
..but then people would probably start talking about Satellite Party (and that would be plain wrong).
Jawbox - 'For Your Own Special Sweetheart'
never seen that mentioned on here, or even anything about Jawbox for that matter.
A fantastic album
The victoria principle
by The victoria principle
bloody good it is, never seen it mentioned anywhere really
Beulah - Handsome Western States
Cloud Cult - Advice from the Happy Hippopotamus
Ladyhawk - Ladyhawk
