all the soundtrack songs except the one from Shrek 3 to me.
and considering that License To Eel was clearly bought by someone within the E / Dreamworks / Universal camp, it's not THAT surprising that there's nothing from there on it ;)
also, there's only one E-era b-side. i wish they'd just reissue the 2nd solo album personally..
cancer for the cure deffo should have been on there. Great song/single, and awesome video for it too. Easily should have been on the cd instead of 3 Speed.
I'd be interested in that E solo rarities stuff if you have it digitised please. What's this license to eel and stopping cathedral stuff? Not heard of them. Have the two solo albums and all the band albums and singles, so many many great songs. Shame they never released Sad Clown, and even more of a shame when Butch parted ways with Eels.
with butch last week, so at least they're on friendly terms again.
license to eel was an album of unreleased stuff that was put up on ebay and quickly bought by someone at dreamworks so that it didnt leak...was gonna be released at one point.
trashing the cathedral is a fantastic beautiful freak era outtake that sort of leaked out to a few people, but again the record company stopped it being shared much...
there's also E's first superrare solo album Bad Dude In Love which only about 2 people have and no one has really heard.
maybe i'll put that E rarities tape back up on my blog...
Ooh
they do look cool!
omg.
missing some prize rarities though :-(
like what?
trashing the cathedral
thirteen
devil's dog
grandfather clock strikes twelve
happy hour (we're gonna rock)
if i ran the circus
mighty fine blues...
some other license to eel songs i can't remember...
all the bad dude in love songs
i wish they'd do an E solo rarities album!
also missing
a few soundtrack songs i think?
looks like
all the soundtrack songs except the one from Shrek 3 to me.

mm definitely
have you got the E solo rarities tape?
it's brilliant. i'll do you a copy if you want, i've digitised it now.
i figured they were removing license to eel and stopping cathedral downloads because they'd put them out on this. seems not.
weird that cancer for the cure
isn't on the singles collection
yeah

E performed on stage

uhr
"was gonna be released at one point."
there is no proof of that! the CD that appeared on eBay was a publisher's copy or something..
thing is, with E having his own home studio and stuff, there's bound to be LOADS of unreleased stuff. but he is something of a perfectionist...
i assumed
as it had crazy artwork that someone obviously put some work into that it had been made with intentions of doing summint with it.
i remember an interview before daises came out saying he'd canned three finished albums he'd made after Electro because they weren't quite right
yeah
and there was another one (or possibly two) between shootenanny! and blinking lights.
there's also apparently an albums worth of songs he recorded with Peter Buck that will never come out because "they sound too much like REM" :D
i assume you mean the Bond-homage artwork? i think that was actually fan-made.
ah right
i stand corrected then
the e solo tape
would be much appreciated
WOW
"Useless Trinkets" looks nigh-on essential.
mm hmm
to those who dont own this stuff, its basically gonna be one of the best rarities collections eva.
Ace
"Manchester Girl" is such a beautiful song.
