Watch that video here:
It doesent sound very good:(
Are you watching the same video?
Some of those sound amazing to me
Typically great production
by Matt Bayles there, but I think the vocals sound a bit too 'epic' and not really very much like ¡Forward, Russia! Plus I just don't really like the style of their new songs. I'm seeing them for about the billionth time at Fibbers and all I can say is I'm glad IWACS are supporting.
so,
if you've suddenly 'gone off' forward russia because of new material, why buy tickets in the hope of a good support band? why not just buy tickets to a band you would want to see?
I think it sounds pretty awesome.
I wasn't too sure about the direction of the new material after the gig in Leeds where they previewed quite a bit of it, but after hearing clips of the recorded stuff, I have every faith I'm not going to be let down.
Because I've come up to York to Uni
with my mate Joe and he loves them and seeing as we didn't know anyone else, I said I'd go so he didn't go by himself. I didn't realise you had to be a die hard fan of a band to be admitted to their gigs these days?
???
what are you even talking about?!
i think the new songs sound a lot more inventive and varied than the old ones. Don't be a Doctor was a complete departure from GMAW, without really being 'epic'. Also, the song that kicks in at 2.58ish is one of their heaviest so far. There are live bootlegs of that song ('A Shadow is a Shadow is a Shadow') and a few more from Truck at:http://www.last.fm/music/%C2%A1Forward%2C+Russia%21
in the shoutbox
:-)
Hmm
There's some heavy sounding stuff on there. I like it! Certainly a progression from GMAW, I'd forgotten how much I love these guys.
this sounds pretty good
especially the post rocky EITS type stuff and the big mastodon riffs. i'm glad they've gone with this direction rather than doing an album of 12 ballads or generic jerky indie songs.
I still can't get over being let down by their album
the demos were so raw, so brilliant. The album just sounded too slick. Also, the singer pisses me off on stage. He looks like an octopus made of jelly.
croooooooonnn!!!
croon, croon, croooooooon-croon!! pull my own shirt and CROOOOOOOONNNN!
The...
...New stuff I've heard sounds HUUUGE.
yeah sounds ace!!
i saw
forward russia a lot in the last couple of weeks. the last song (could be called spannish triangles) is literally amazing
