Eighteenth Birthdays

Mine isnt until January, but my dad seems to think I should have a big party. He sas he'll pay for it instead of a present, but I REALLY don't want one.

I have been working on my last two birthdays and did nothing to celebrate them at all, I don't particularly like birthdays, but I feel like I might regret it if I don't do anything to commemorate my eighteenth...

What did you all do for your eighteenth?

The Pub.

That's all you need.

I went to a club

on Longleat estate called Oscars, my twin was already there retching and horizontal in the ladies after drinking most of a bottle of tequilla before she left.

Her friends kind of abandoned her once I arrived and so we had to take her home. I was probably in bed by 11 :(

Gresley Rovers 4-2 Bromsgrove Rovers

Murphy (3), Pitt.

-

I went to see the Mars Volta. They were terrible. It was a bit crap.

Pop down the pub

have a pint or two

word

I don't remember

I was out of my banana tree on tequila.

It was crap...

My 21st ruled tho

i went for a family meal

then went home, drank champagne and moaned at people on the internet about how much i hated life.

good days.

went fior a meal with family and friends

left early
woken up by family arriving home and calling me a loser for leaving early

I went to the pub

and necked an absinthe cocktail my friends made for, was off my rocker and then me and my best mate spent an hour throwing chips at a tree.

The next day I went to Hundred Reasons at the Astoria and it was (then) the greatest thing ever. The world was so full of promise when I was 18

:(

and it's not now?

I have literally

no memory of my eighteenth, which means I sat in and watched tv.

^ this

either a crap club somewhere or a family meal or something.

I went to the pub in the day

came home after five pints and had to sit and be nice to my family and 4 year old cousins which was a nihgtmare. Then I went out for a family meal and ended up in the pub again by 10pm. I wasn't really too bothered because I knew I was going out on the Friday night with all my mates.

All in all though, I'm never really sure about 'parties'. They're normally ruined by anticipation. Unless you've got an AMAZING 'My Super Sixteenth' style extravanganza going on, I wouldn't bother.

i went for a meal with the family on my actual birthday

the day before i went to london with a few friends to the old blue last, and then went out in southend that weekend. was pretty good, but its not really a massive deal.

oh and i went for a pint with my dad as well.

yeah i would advise that you get everyone to go somewhere, parties are hit and miss, the ones in the halls end at about 11 which is shite and you have all your family there which means you worry about drinking too much in front of them, being an 18 year old etc.

if youve got a free house for an 18th then i would suggest that could be good though.

I went to Glanford Park

in sunny Scunthorpe, and watched Cardiff City clinch the Third Division title with a 3-0 win.

Then back on a supporters' club bus, a quick fast food stop and on to a now long-gone indie night. Great days.

went the pub to watch..

Man Utd v Man City at about 12.

Can't really remember much after about 6ish, woke up the next day with a big smile on me face and a huge hangover, was amazing.

I hate parties

well parties for me, I dislike being teh centre of attention. So for my eighteenth I went to New York for three days.

I remember mine

I got up, had some breakfast, got ready to go to sixth form, went there, had some lessons and went to the library, had some lunch, went home, had dinner. I ddi some revision for 'A' levels, I went to bed. It was a good day.

damn right!

^

I had an 18th party.

It fucking RULED.

I didn't get overdrunk 'cos my parents were there and I paced myself. My mates, however, got wrecked and I was laughing at them dancing to the Spice Girls.

Good times.

bf

uh, I think I went to the pub with a mate in the daytime, and in the evening we and some other mates crashed some girls party whose dad had hired out the local nightclub so lots of people she'd never met could get trolleyed.

Never really got why someone would hire out a whole nightclub when they've got, like 20 or so friends, and just extend an open invitation to everyone of a similar age within a 20 mile radius
