So I'm thinking about going to see them on Thursday. Are they any good live?

Yes

Saw them on Saturday and they were great. The singer does look like him from Gimme Gimme Gimme crossed with John Terry though, which was off-putting.

lol

all the more reason to see them.
Cheers dude.

Haha

That's very nearly how I described him only I said crossed with Rhys Ifans. The bloke from Gimme Gimme Gimme is pretty much a constant though.

But yes, I saw them when they were over earlier in the the year and they were very good. I going on Wednesday.

Useless fact:

The guy from Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie went to Harrow school.

I am

thinking about going to the birmingham show, but I will be on my own. Would you say they are that good it is worth travelling from Notts to Birmingham after work, to then see them on your own?

looking at the setlists

I think I need to go to this. Do you know roughly what time they are on stage until?

Oh yes - they are magnifique. Where are they on

this Thursday?
Damn - I want to go and see Trentemoller.. and have now been invited to some vodka party. Do go and see The National. They are fantastic - saw them at Brixton a couple years ago.

Shepherds Bush

a good live

band. and another band who like to put out great bsides: Santa Clara off the Mistaken For Strangers single is my absolute favourite song of theirs.

yesss

also "Driver, Surprise Me" and "Tall Saint" are absolutely amazing

I'm seeing them Thursday too

Should be sweet

Seeing em friday

Have strangeley not heard more than about half a song, but am going on the back of the quality of friends going.

im there on friday

Who's the support. Not St. Vincent I see...

No idea.

Will probably impose my strict arrive-two-minutes-before-the-headliner-comes-on ruling to ensure I miss them.

But then I am incredibly grumpy.

I'm looking forward to it.

can't get any of my friends to come with me as they're lame but I love this band so will venture on my lonesome. Is it sad to go alone?! Pah who cares.

They were

very very good in Sheffield and played a great set, despite the absence of Karen and Lit Up. Much more energy than I thought they'd have and a lot of the songs came across much better live like Squalor Victoria and Abel.

They were fantastic in Manchester

last night. they played pretty much all of boxer plus about today, which is a bloody lovely tune.

sheffield was great

plus i was stood next to OB and lee hunter from hollyoaks for the last encore.
