Anyone seen this?

I was at the BFI/NFT on Monday and saw the acoustic performance and the film.

Both were beautiful.

Nope

But I'm listening to Hvarf/Heim for the first time now and asking myself why did they bother

I was the NFT too

and indeed both were pretty special. Really happy I got to see the film on the big screen, I desperately want to go to Iceland now.

40 € for it here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are they crazy ?

i thoroughly enjoyed it

was really nicely put together and you got a sense of community that you really don't see alot living in england.

i'm fed up of their shtick

they sound like coldplay singing gibberish

really obvious, emotive chord progressions that i've heard a million times before

Perfect to soundtrack wildlife programmes really

I was at the BFI

on monday night was a great short acoustic set followed by the UK premiere of Heima, both were great, a special event

Ordered DVD from Amazon

should arrive tomorrow...

I don't think it was the premiere

as it was shown at that Cecil Sharp House gig in October...
nevertheless, it was fantastic.

Made me laugh when they made a mistake in Agaetis Byrjun and Kjartan and Jonsi were looking at each other with puzzled looks on their faces and then at the end Kjartan said that playing a white piano "turned him off"!!! heheheh.

Oh sorry,

I was talking about Monday, I wasn't at the Cecil Sharp show.

np

but it would have been funny anyway if they had used it twice.

I am gonna see the film

in Liverpool in December, can´t wait!!!
They are screening it there www.ice07.org

This sounds

amazing! I wanna show a screening of this film at Nottingham Uni, seeing as I've missed the official screening in Notts and will miss the next screening in Leeds...

Does anyone know if I have to ask permission from Sigur Ros and co?

no idea

but please do it as i missed the screening too :(

it's lovely

really engrossing film considering how relatively little is in it. the live footage is excellent. even if it's not "cool" to like them anymore i still love them.
