Laura Marling

love.

wow

I read that as Lene Marlin.

Her first album wasn't bad

although I haven't heard it in about 4 years...maybe I should take that back.

I don't know how new he is

But check out Benjamin Shaw

Also you could check my mate Andrew

It's not actually acoustic but it has a lot of the same vibes:

GOSSAMER ALBATROSS

love.

Codename Sparrow

/jag

amen to dat

stunning live

A friend I would recommend... Superman Revenge Squad.

Ben, previously of Nosferatu D2 & Tempertwig. Now with his own solo ascoutic thing.

Some good quality live recordings can be downloaded here, http://www.supermanrevengesquad.com/media/LiveatGreenDragon/

Mathew Sawyer

...and a second for Eugene McGuinness.

Second for Mathew Sawyer

and third for Eugene McGuinness

the Sleeping Years

Orion Rigel Dommisse

Nathan Greenwood

and Peter Lyons

Laura Marling and Ana Silvera

are both marvellous.
Ana has just done some dates with Antony and the Johnsons crew in NY - I'm hoping there'll be some recording out of that.

And Laura Groves is also great.

Not forgetting

CAMILLE!!!

^Yeah!!!

Good to see some more Camille love! She's incredible, but I still haven't got into Music Hole, Le Fil is still by far the best. The Grauniad/Observer seem to be obsessed with her at the moment...not that I'm complaining.

i really like jaymay

saw support beirut in manchester and got her album which came out last week.

1. although not ground breaking the music and her lyrics are excellent
2. vocally she sounds like feist but better
3. shes hot

Jaymay

I saw her supporting Laura Veirs a couple of months back. I see her album is out and I might just buy it. I agree with computerman5 - not groundbreaking but good. She was great live as well.

Cate Le Bon

Is nice.

I don't know how knew she is... she's more or less new to me though.

http://www.myspace.com/catelebon

'o am gariad' is ace, the other two on there aren't quite so good. I love just about any welsh language stuff though.

me....

...im new.... im acoustic.... im a singer/songwriter.

so me

www.myspace.com/stickboyuk

x

Cate Le Bon

good call! Shes got a lovely welsh voice. And her stuff in Welsh is ace! I think "O Am.." is a cover isn't it?

check this geezer out

http://www.myspace.com/brokenglasseye
he isnt very original at the moment, but he will morph into something very special soon i predict.

Laura Hocking

www.myspace.com/laurahocking
www.myspace.com/leonielauder
www.myspace.com/ultrazoom

Twelve downloadable songs of joy.

As recommended by Kotki Dwa, Sky Larkin, and me. And nobody else it seems - so get involved - wonderful voice, really clever lyrics, with jolly and moody tunes alike.

Better than Laura Marling - official.

sweet baboo

www.myspace.com/sweetbabootheband

he's only left two (old) songs up there at the moment, and he's away in America playing bass for Euros Childs. but when he comes back he will finally finish his album, or i will kill him. it's awesome.

also, cate le bon is ace.

Chris Turpin

is really quite good as well
http://www.myspace.com/littlebigvoiceturpin

Supporting him in Bath on Thursday, got an incredible voice an his guitar playing is top notch as well.

Euegene McGuinness

Such a loverly mini album he gave us :D

Nic Dawson Kelly

richard allen

check out this fella, good lirics, nice stuff enjoy...

http://www.myspace.com/richardallenmusic

Eugene McGuinness

is brilliant.
I think Laura Marling is a bit dull, meself.

this guy

www.myspace.com/russelljoslinesquire

bit like Two Gallants. Brilliantly intense and makes probably the loudest noise out of an acoustic guitar I've heard.

though saying that

he's changed all the songs on his bloody myspace and now that

third song down on there is the best

I'm really enjoying My First Tooth

www.myspace.com/myfirsttooth

He's on tour with sam isaac at the moment and I reckon he's better, quite a lot better.

My First Tooth

Hello we're coming back to hereford on the 19th dec to play at the jailhouse. you are nice xx

These guys

set up this page whilst they were still acoustic.

www.myspace.com/huntspillriver

Seem like my kind of guys....

But...!

However, Sam is really freakin' good. Like, awesome. That touring troubador is a lovely guy and definitely worth listening to. Again and again. And again.

19th?

or 16th? that's the monosound snowball my band Gossamer Albatross is playing at. along with sam isaac, held by hands and stuff.
should be a wicked show.

You are right

it is the 16th in hereford. I am totally, totally wrong. I look forward to playing with you guys :)

.

yep, alphabet backwards

www.myspace.com/alphabetbackwards

totally biased of course, but don't let that put you off.

I've had an album by

Ryan O'Reilly for ages without listening to it but I've had it on all day today and believe it's pretty good.
http://www.myspace.com/ryanoreilly

Seriously seriously seriously good

My Kappa Roots

http://www.myspace.com/mykapparootsmusic

I can't stop listening to Summer You Dancer.

These boys

James Severy
his band stuff here:
http://www.myspace.com/jamessevery
his acoustic stuff is here:
http://www.myspace.com/drugfrenzyatcircuscircus

Rory McVicar
http://www.myspace.com/rorymcvicar

check out my ex-bandmate

www.myspace.com/simonjcurd

He's like a brummie version of John K. Samson.

um i think everyone is forgeting...

'House of Brothers'

very good

The Clock And The Moon

www.myspace.com/theclockandthemoon.

"THE CLOCK AND THE MOON are a pair of sweet young things full of enthusiasm and talent and ideas, focussed through a pair of acoustic guitars and voices and harmonies."

Nora Soppy

and William Wet are two names to watch.

jay jay pistolet

yeah

I agree with Laura Marling, Saw her at glastonbury and then got her album. Her keyboard player is called Pete Roe, he also has an album out. Phil King is great too, I saw him in London last week and bought his album at the gig.

laura marling

is really good, her band is amazing too

Emmy the Great

Liam Frost
Dav Ford
and another vote for Eugene McGuiness

emmy the great

thom stone, orangedrink lemondrink, gossamer albatross, laura marling

Laura Gibson

The new songs I heard her do live OWN. The first album is great, too. http://www.myspace.com/lauragibson

sometimes acoustic

and obviously good.
erm.

www.myspace.com/samhuxley

No one gonna say

Johnny Flynn?

'A Larum' is fantastic.

Paul Marshall

http://www.myspace.com/paulmarshallyeah,

ex concentration champ man gone solo, and the ex meet me in st louis vocalist acoustic side project shoes and socks off.

http://www.myspace.com/shoesandsocksoff

Mirah

Not new; just new to me. Sings like an early Liz Phair, Portland OR coffeehouse sound, has connections with Microphone PhilE.

Jonny Hinton

I found him on Last Fm, he writes really lovely stuff.

http://www.last.fm/music/Jonny+Hinton

Agree with Gossamer Albatross

the tracks I heard on Myspace are brilliant. Also, she's not new, but Kaki King - read the review of her new album on the left.

<3

Love.
