I'm doing kind of okay. Injuries have plagued the season already though, Lost most of my defence early on (Carragher, Gallas etc) and have been rejigging ever since. Van Persie's gone now. Then Anelka, and Torres had been in and out. Then scord when I dropped him. And so much for my instinct that Shevchenko would make a glorious comeback!
Sigh.
Cesc and Laursen have done amazingly well though, and Essien as always, although Essien and Toure have the African Nations in January so that's something to think about...
I'm still glad I didn't pick Ronaldo even if he was my star player last year. Too easy... that red card at the start of the season was funny.

Robbie Keane is a brilliant FL player. 6 goals in the prem so far and always gets bonus points.

I tweak my team around (usually a couple of transfers) and think to myself I'll do REALLY well, but it never seems to work out quite so well. I had a bad start, but there was a short period where I was near the top (20, or so), and I've just been sliding for so long I'm not even in the top 100 anymore.
Drastic action needed to be taken, I played my wildcard and changed my team around completely earlier. I think I should pick up mega points in the next gameweek - I've got Drogba, Lampard and Cudicini against Derby :D. I got rid of Cesc as he's suspended against Wigan, but I'll get him back the week after.
I don't think I like fantasy league though... it certainly increases interest in mid-table games, but I hate not wanting Man Utd to concede, or hoping for an Arsenal/Fabregas goal... It feels so wrong.

and the flaw of this fantasy football game is that by now, everyone who is taking the game seriously will have at least 4 or 5 of those players. (I've got fabregas laursen, keane and evra.)
I have 3, and I plan to ditch N'Zogbia at the first opportunity...
So not too similar. I try to pick players as they come into form, not once they get there and tail off again...

I can't help but think that this is a bad thing.
I also have no liverpool or chelsea players. Chelsea just seem to be too expensive, and I'm not wasting 10 million on gerrard or torres when even they are not guaranteed to play every week (and are more likely to rested against the lesser teams, which is where they pick up most of the points.)
Although tinkering has cost me as much as it's gained.
Should just leave them alone sometimes, if a player has a few off weeks they'll probably come back just as you change them, unless it's a major slump...

the thing with Torres
i think everyone, myself included dropped him cos we all thought he was injured. Typical he comes on as sub and scores. My replacement Michael Chopra did everything but score on saturday and gets me 1 point. However Berbatov doesnt score but still gives me 10 points. :)

as my team had only 17 points and Etherington had been on the bench...however, after Arsenal played the automatic subs came into play and I was at 55 so it wasn't ignominious.
