I saw a thread similar to this, I thought it was a good idea.
I've never listened to any of the above bands before, bands 1,3,4 + 6 were recommended to me by DiS users, I then read reviews and decided which albums to order.
I would appreciate if no-one mentions that maybe I should of ordered a different album, from any of the above bands. It's not very constructive and might annoy me, if I think I could of ordered the wrong album.
I'm going to wait for all of them to arive before I collect them, so don't say: whichever one comes first.
Anyway what do people think?

It's like a mini album, 8 tracks and about 16 minutes long. There is a review of it on DiS, I would post the link but I am unaware of how to do this. I'm sure you can find it anyway.

Mariner's Revenge Song is no 9-minute novelty pirate song. It's truly, wonderfully glorious.
You pretty much can't go wrong with 'We Both Go Down Together', either. (Suicide pact? Rape? Star crossed lovers? What's not to love?)

Ok, I'm a bit happier now. It's just that "9 minute sea shanty", kind of scared me. "9 minute novelty pirate song", isn't so bad.
Strange how wording something differently can make something be seen in a better light.

Well, it reminds me of some sailors having a sing-a-long, at least if they were pirates it would be a bit cooler.
The 80's Matchbox pirate song on The Royal Society album is good.

Desert Hearts
would be my choice. its got loads of class tunes and is pretty easy to get into. I havent got Untitled Musical Project but the other 3 will probably need a bit more work. DEP and 65Days took me while to get into and DEP are heavier than I expected....ok i'm sure u get the picture. hope this helps!

The guy's voice annoys me. Though I'll admit that 9 minute song is very good.
