yeah, totally pointless
but then the American version of The Office is supposed to be alright isn't it? Not that I've seen it.
The remake turning out "alright" doesn't negate its pointlessness though.
The US Office is good...
but The Office was the sort of show it could realistically be done with (and plus they had Greg Daniels and Steve Carrell rather than some guy from Will & Grace and McG).
I think the fact Spaced is described as a "classic geek-com" in the article is the most telling reason why, no, this show could not realistically be re-made in a good way by a US network.
