How does it feel to be given such a sexual assault at St James' Park?

Also, was the pain made any more bitter by the fact that one of England's worst players on Wednesday was the finest player on the field, shocking you with a stunning goal?

I can't wait for the United match. Two weeks I think it is. We Will Win, in the words of the Pro Evo banners.

Newcastle looked absolutely clueless

I can't believe they thought they could try three at the back to begin with. Actual hilarity

What's with Milner not starting? Was he not fully fit?

And enjoy the Gerrard love while you can. He'll be moved back into a less attacking position for your next game and prove half as effective as he was yesterday

Oh well.

He's still one of the best players in the league, and is a trillion times the player Lampard wishes he was.

If Torres plays against United, we'll be laughing.

It's a misconception

that Gerrard is better than Lampard.

Milner was perfectly fit.

Sam is just an idiot, who prefers playing his favourites out of position, like Smith and Geremi.

When he DID bring Milner on, it was for our other wide player, N'Zogbia.

GAH.

that was one of the most baffling switches i've seen

somehow he even managed to out do the fuckwittedness of emre off for barton with that one

What was surprising though

was that Smith was awarded man of the match, what did he do to deserve it? also interesting that he hasn't scored in the premiership for over 2 years but can still get in the England squad as a forward.

i think you'll find that as good as

liverpool were a lot of it when down because they were facing a shockingly bad newcastle side.
torres? he could still be playing now and wouldn't have score yet!

Well,

he had more shots on target than Newcastle had all match.

Torres = wins

Our only shots on target

were fucking offside....

newcastle are dreadful

sam has no clue how to organise them into a team

Yesterday's game highlighted the problem with Gerrard.

Interested when playing for Liverpool, against poor opposition; utterly disinterested and outclassed too often at international level.

it's interesting

I know a few genuine kopites, ie. proper season-ticket holders who go to the game every week and are actually from Liverpool - and they don't like Gerrard.

This is partly because he habitually threatens to leave just to get a renegotiated contract and expand his power-base, but also because they reckon he's generally inconsistent, plays for himself (hence, 'Stevie Me') and a lot of the hype about him is just a media narrative based on the TFI Friday / In-Ger-Lund fable and the need to sell England replica shirts.

I'd like to think that they're right.

also

it's great to see Newcastle struggling.

St James Park really is the graveyard of ambition and a haven for odious mercenaries and thugs.

not under keegan it wasn't

those days will return once more
we're a big club
massive club
we'd be filling st.james even in league 2
we deserve european football every season and all this is just a blip

and so on

Newcastle deserve fuck all

you had under 10,000 average capacity before Keegan took over - that's an absolute disgrace for a city that size that only has one football club. Deserve European football - why? Because you can pack your stadium full of deluded people who are in denial? Despite all the money you've spent, you're still a mediocre team at very best.

chill out

just because i know all the newcastle super fan beliefs doesn't mean i buy into them.

hell top 8 would make me happy this year

I think he was being a bit tongue-in-cheek.

At least I hope so...

Perennial underachievers?

Non-achievers more like! When was the last time Newcastle actually won anything?

fair's cup

in the late 60s

hmmmmmmmm

i know what your saying. The contract saga was a funny one but the general consensus was that he was misunderstood, and in the dark over whether parry and benitez wanted him still.

He has become way to outspoken in the media, especially for england. But fuck me, gerrard is a brilliant player, he pretty much carried us two seasons ago and is bar far our biggest threat.

Also, torres missed a few but that boy is special, been ages since we had a player who looks dangerous, he scares the opposition.
Kuyt is a well meaning bloke im sure, but a footballer he isnt.

on a slight tangent

but just when I thought Liverpool fans couldn't get any more embarrassing. There's a call for a 'Rafatollah Conga' on the Kop at the next home game to show their support for Rafa and in defiance of the foreign dollar:

In case, not everyone is familiar with what a Rafatollah is:

Embarrassing pricks.

this season has been great so far.

The struggle for Europe is going to be really intense, with Portsmouth, Man City, Aston Villa and Blackburn all playing so well. It's great to see boring makeweights of yesteryear like Bolton and Newcastle getting hammered by genuinely inspiring teams that are still hanging on to the top four. Love to see this state of affairs carrying on into the new year.

It feels like

we played like shit (again) and deserved to lose. As you can see from these replies we're not as deluded as the media seems to think.
