League of gentlemen i mean

not Boosh. Though I do like it.

I wasnt having a go at theabsolutegirl

I was just joking. I do like the mighty boosh, I just refuse to buy NME magazine. (I just read it in smiths).

Am annoyed at the NME namedropping that took place in the first episode of the latest series.

i haven't bought it...

i can't stand the cliquey brown-nosing McKnickerless-lead chufty badge appreciation society that it is now. most of their 'news' is old, their album reviews are really quite bad and the thing's 70% adverts. saying that, i do sometimes end up buying it, or at least stealing it from friends houses/the library, due to lack or readily available alternatives. when i was a kid you were the coolest guy on the bus if you had NME, but then it at least seemed a touch cutting edge, now you'd probably get beat up for being seen reading it. they're in a position to really push unsigned music, or at least stuff signed to good smaller labels, but they rarely do.

I haven't bought it either

but I read a bit of it.

Sadly the NME seems to have rubbed off on the Mighty Boosh rather than the other way around. Noel edits the letters page, he is cruel and just not funny.

That doesnt sound like Noel???

He is one of the last comedians that I would expect to be cruel?

I know

He may have been trying to be funny but it really didn't work. Some girl wrote in to complain about being trampled on at a gig and he was quite a knob.

I love the boosh. I was saddened.

Thats a shame.

I will have a look later on.

They should have edited in character

Noel could have given style tips as responses to people's letters and Julian could have just written articles about jazz.

They should have consulted me. Idiots.

...

I've not bought it. Having wasted £5 on the damn tempting thing this year already, I'm not prepared to sacrifice another £1.60, or whatever it is they're scrounging off music listeners these days...so I'm not at liberty to comment on the actual editing.

But I am at liberty to comment on their involvement at all. It just seems more than slightly ironic that a duo concerned with Nathan Barley could bring themselves to write for ANY music magazine. When I saw the issue in Co-op my immediate reaction was "CASH IN! CASH IN!" and I expect it's exactly that - whether it's a cash in on the behalf of the Boosh or NME is another discussion. One of them's a sinking ship and unfortunately it's taking the other one down with it.

I blame Peaches Geldof.

noel fielding may be a twit

but Julian Barrat is a god among men.

also, mighty boosh has had 3 good jokes over the course of 14 episodes, therefore making it not funny.
