Dead Meadow have announced the release of their fifth studio album.

Old Growth will be out on the 4th of February through Matador records, having been produced, typically, in a “haunted farmhouse (for real)” in rural Indiana with Rob Campanella.

Set to tour the UK early next year, the new Dead Meadow record is made up of the following bits and pieces:

‘Ain't Got Nothing To Go Wrong’
‘Between Me And The Ground’
‘What Needs Must Be’
‘Down Here’
‘Till Kingdom Come’
‘I'm Gone’
‘Seven Seers’
‘The Great Deceiver’
‘The Queen Of All Returns’
‘Keep On Walking’
‘Hard People/Hard Times’
‘Either Way’

Field Music, Fields, the Field, Fieldy - where do Dead Meadow sit in the pantheon of land bands? DiScuss.

I'm still a bit diasppointed by this album

But I'm pretty sure that's due to the fact that nothing was ever going to top Feathers.

Hopefully

this will be a good album, and I'll be a very happy guy. Yeah.

When I saw them live (admittedly quite a while ago)

they played about 4 new ones. Really really good stuff.

I'm looking forward to this.

I can't wait

to hear it all on record! Then hopefully they'll be back over to play some gigs - they're fucking amazing live...aaaah how i love Dead Meadow.
