They started off as The Young Rascals, but after three or four albums they weren't really that young, so they reduced it to The Rascals

They were fucking massive...check their discography on wikipedia. Ten major label albums, number one best of, three number one singles.

Just cos you haven't really heard that much of them doesn't mean they weren't big ;)
