saw this band last week at whitechapel art gallery, the red wine was flowing, all the bands were great... my friend took me along to see agaskodo teliverek after seeing the support siouxsie at the electric proms but it was one more grain that ireally thought had something real special, its a bit like the fall i guess but the music is less rock-based and the subject matter of the words seems to be very diverse, much more so than mark smith and i can seethem outliving the fall comparisons quite easily if they keep going. does anybody know much about this band, i know they have a album out in january
this years...
mini album on victory garden is worth a punt...

there'll be a decentsize interview...
...with 'em in january's Plan B. i like the record, it's kind of...eccentrica (new genre alert).
I heard them
on 6Music and checked them out on MySpace. I think 'eccentrica' is a good name. Plan B trying to start movements....come back from the dark side! Anyway, the song I heard by OMG was ruddy great. So different. Like John Cooper Clarke wondering into a colliery bands Stereolab covers gig at the Rio Carnival. I hope that their idiosyncratic nature doesn't deprive them of the spotlight.Thinking how many Razorlight and Babyshambles records have been bought in the time it took me to type this message probably answers my question.

Thanks guys!
Though
you should probably just google them you lazy sod. That said, it's nice to see if others are aware of a band that really strikes you. They certainly struck my ears, like acidic headphones of doom. (That's a good thing incidentally).

No need to get shirty with me pal! I have since checked the buggers out on google, turns out they supported pere ubu ealier thisyear. that's pretty cool. though agaskodo teliverek played with siouxsie recently. who's cooler, that's the question?
"Don't get shirty"?!
"Who's cooler"?! Were you born yesterday?
So, _pip, what is your band?
ok
their old bass player plays in my band now!
he is the one who plays bass on their mini album out earlier this year.
I'm not the biggest fan of them, but i'd rather them over anything on XFM i suppose.
also
the singer apparantly released an album of his own a few years back. im pretty sure it was under his own name but im not totally sure.
sooooooooo
_pip, what is your band?
