Babyshambles have been confirmed as headliners at next year’s Benicassim festival in Spain.

Also among the first names to be added to the bill are the Rumble Strips and My Bloody Valentine.

Taking place from the 17th to the 20th of July, tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow (14 Dec) at a reduced price of €160 for a four-day pass. This limited low price run of 5,000 tickets will finish on the 15th of January.

Intriguing

I went to Benno in 06 and loved it, but I might wait and see hwo Glasto is lining up first

1 out of 3 so far...

Not a bad ratio for a festival

so

the headline is wrong then?

Bollocks

That means Primavera is doubtful. Damnit.

^

Primavera > Benicassim

BABYSHAMBLES?

FUCKING BABYSHAMBLES?
How the hell are that barage of shite worthy of sharing the same stage as MBV???

Rumble Strips!

'oh i hope the rumble strips set doesnt clash with MBV's set, i'd hate to have to make such a decision'. lolllerzzz!

i went

in 06 and 07 and having had such amazing times, promised i wouldn't jinx them and go back this year.... but now...

AHHHHH

I went this summer and had an amazing time. Next year...better? Maybe.

Its a terrible thing really

Ive seen Babyshambles live and they are far from a festival headliner, crowds only seem to react to a select few of their songs, normally the Libertines covers, which they apparently dont do anymore.

MBV on the other hand would be amazing.

agreed.

definately Not headliner material. how much (approximately) would travel be out to this.. i'm very tempted.
also, anyone know how much the normal batch of tickets go for and if they sell out quickly!?

Why

does the world insist on putting up with Doherty and his pish songs? Stop giving the man gigs...

Oh, and

MBV welcome back x

doesn't matter who headlines though

For those who have never been to a european festival or in particular fiber fib, the line up order is different because of the times anyway. so the headliners are on in the middle around 11/midnight so there is tons of other stuff on anyway!

Plus the best part of fiberfib is all the other stuff going on, like the short film festival during the day which is always amazing and you get to vote on the best each day in a wicked little cinema. The fashion shows, open house art galleries and everything else.

One of the greatest holidays I have ever had, only marred by their desire to close all the shops on a sunday, fucked up trains and Lidl by the campsite.
